Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini yaitu kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap pencak silat Tepak Opat Cimandean Sanggar Seni Jamus Kalimasada di Kampung Cisuru Karamat, Desa Pada Jaya, Kecamatan Jampangkulon, Kabupatén Sukabumi, yang dianggap mempunyai nilai-nilai budaya yang dapat dijadikan pedoman oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pencak silat Tepak Opat Cimandean di Sanggar Seni Jamus Kalimasada, nilai estetika dalam Tepak Opat Cimandean, unsur semiotik dalam pencak silat Tepak Opat Cimandean, serta penerapan hasil penelitian pencak silat Tepak Opat Cimandean dalam pembelajaran membaca artikel di SMA kelas XII. Metode yang digunakeun dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif etnografi. Teknik yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data yaitu teknik observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu yang pertama, adanya deskripsi atau gambaran umum pencak silat Tepak Opat Cimandean di Sanggar Seni Jamus Kalimasada. Kedua, terdapat nilai estetika dalam Tepak Opat Cimandéan yaitu nilai estetis atau nilai murni dan nilai ekstra estetis atau nilai tambahan. Nilai estetis terdapat dalam bentuk ibing Tepak Opat Cimandean, pakaian pemain, gerak, suara musik, dan seni drama. Sedangkan nilai ekstra estetis atau nilai tambahan terdapat dalam hubungan manusia dan alam. Seumpama tidak ada manusia dan alam, tentunya tidak akan tercipta Tepak Opat Cimandean beserta pertunjukannya. Ketiga, terdapat 12 tanda mencakup tiga ikon yaitu ibing Tepak Opat Cimandean, pemain musik, dan pemain silat. Selanjutnya, terdapat empat indeks yaitu banner atau identitas sanggar, tempat pertunjukan, formasi ibing pencak, dan suara musik. Terakhir, terdapat lima simbol yaitu kendang dan kulanter, kempul, baju dan celana pangsi hitam, iket, dan tarompet. Keempat, hasil dari penelitian ini dapat dijadikan bahan pembelajaran membaca artikel di SMA kelas XII. This study aims to describe pencak silat Tepak Opat Cimandean in Jamus Kalimasada Studio, aesthetic value in pencak silat Tepak Opat Cimandean, semiotic elements in pencak silat Tepak Opat Cimandean, as well as the application of Tepak Opat Cimandean research results in learning to read articles in class XII high school. The method used in this research is analytical descriptive with a qualitative meteorological approach. The techniques used in collecting data are participatory observation techniques, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are the first, the description or general description of pencak silat Tepak Opat Cimandean in the Jamus Kalimasada Studio. Second, there is aesthetic value in Tepak Opat Cimandéan, namely aesthetic value or pure value and extra aesthetic value or additional value. Aesthetic values can be found in the form of ibing Tepak Opat Cimandean, player clothes, movement, music, and drama. Meanwhile, extra aesthetic value or additional value is found in the relationship between humans and nature. If there were no humans and nature, of course Tepak Opat Cimandean and its performances would not have been created. Third, there are 12 signs covering three icons namely ibing Tepak Opat Cimandean, music player, and silat player. Furthermore, there are four indexes, namely banner or studio identity, performance venue, formations ibing pencak, and music sound. Finally, there are five symbols, namely the kendang and kulanter, kempul, black pangsi shirt and pants, iket, and tarompet. Fourth, the results of this study can be used as learning material to read articles in class XII high school. Keywords: aesthetic value, learning materials, semiotic, tepak opat cimandean.
