    Abstract

    Penelitian ini membahas tentang persepsi peserta didik terhadap penayangan media animated short film dalam pengembangan karakter di MI Muhammadiyah Banyumudal. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya temuan terkait kurangnya pemanfaatan media berbasis audio-visual berupa animated short film di MI Muhammadiyah Banyumudal, terlebih dengan pemanfaatannya dalam mengembangkan nilai karakter peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Narasumber yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Kepala Sekolah, Wali Kelas 3b, 4, 5a, dan 5c, beserta lima orang peserta didik dari masing-masing kelas tersebut. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu: (1) Persepsi peserta didik terhadap konten yang disampaikan dalam animated short film yang diberikan dapat dikatakan positif. (2) Persepsi peserta didik terhadap proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan animated short film dikatakan positif. (3) Persepsi pendidik dikatakan positif yang dibuktikan dengan pemberian feedback berupa rasa antusiasme, (4) Sekolah memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam usaha pengembangan karakter peserta didik.

    This study discusses students' perceptions of the screening of animated short film media in character development at MI Muhammadiyah Banyumudal. This research was conducted because of the findings related to the lack of use of audio-visual based media in the form of animated short films at MI Muhammadiyah Banyumudal, especially with its use in developing the character values of students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The resource persons used in this study were the principal, homeroom teachers of 3b, 4, 5a, and 5c classes, along with five students from each of these classes. Data collection was carried out by means of documentary study, interview and observation. The results of this study are: (1) Students' perceptions of the content presented in the given animated short film can be said to be positive. (2) Students' perceptions of the learning process using animated short films can be said to be positive. (3) Educators' perceptions are said to be positive as evidenced by the provision of feedback in the form of enthusiasm, (4) Schools have a very important role in the effort to develop the character of students.
