Abstract

Penelitian mengkaji mengenai kepemimpinan peserta didik berdasarkan keikursertaan dalam ekstrakurikuler. Tujuan penelitian adalah memperoleh gambaran umum kepemimpinan peserta didik yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan terdiri dari 149 peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 12 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen yang sudah dikembangkan dari instrumen Student Leadership Practice Inventory (SLPI). Hasil penelitian menunjukan secara umum kepemimpinan peserta didik kelas VIII yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler di SMP Negeri 12 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 berada pada kategori tinggi. Penelitian yang dilakukan merekomendasikan program layanan bimbingan pribadi yang mampu mengoptimalkan kepemimpinan peserta didik. This study analyzed of student’s leadership based on participation in extracurricular. The purpose of this study is to find the leadership of student on participation in extracurricular. This study used quantitative research method with descriptive. The samples of this study was 149 students of 8th grade in extracurricular’s activities of SMP Negeri 12 Bandung in 2020/2021 academic year used purposive sampling technique. To collect the data researcher used a instrument that was developed from instrument of the Student Leadership Practice Inventory (SLPI). The results showed that in general, the students’ leadership of 8th grade extracurricular’s activities SMP Negeri 12 Bandung in 2020/2021 academic year were in the high category. This research give a personal guidance service programs that can optimize student leadership in extracurricular activities. Keywords: leadership, extracurricular, junior high school
