Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh sikap asertif yang perlu dimiliki bystander untuk mencegah dan menurunkan perilaku bullying pada masa remaja. Penelitian bertujuan memperoleh data empirik mengenai hubungan sikap asertif bystander dengan perilaku bullying remaja. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa Kelas XI SMAN 1 Lembang Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021 yang memiliki skor tertinggi sebagai bystander (assistant, outsiders, atau defender). Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 116 responden dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara umum sikap asertif bystander berada pada kategori netral dan bullying berada pada kategori rendah. Hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh sig. < alpha, sehingga sikap asertif bystander berkorelasi dengan bullying remaja. Implikasi bimbingan dan konseling dalam upaya meningkatakan sikap asertif bystander dan mengatasi bullying yaitu disusun rancangan program bimbingan dan konseling dengan bidang layanan pribadi dan sosial. Rekomendasi ditunjukkan bagi: (1) Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling/Konselor agar dapat menerapkan rancangan program bimbingan dan konseling untuk menguji efektivitas dalam upaya mengembangkan sikap asertif bystander dan mengatasi bullying remaja; (2) penelitian selanjutnya dapat mengembangkan responden lebih luas, mengkaji faktor lain dari bystander yang memengaruhi bullying seperti karakteristik kepribadian dan harga diri, sikap keluarga, lingkungan budaya, kelompok bermain, media masa dan jenis kelamin. Kata Kunci: Asertif, Bystander, Bullying ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the assertiveness that the bystander needs to have to prevent and reduce bullying in adolescence. The research aims to obtain empirical data on the relationship between assertiveness bystander and bullying behavior in adolescents. This research uses a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The research sample was students of Class XI SMAN 1 Lembang in the academic year of 2020/2021 who had the highest score as bystander (assistants, outsiders, or defenders). The sample used was 116 respondents with purposive sampling technique. The results showed that generally the assertiveness of the bystander was in the neutral category and bullying was in the low category. The results of hypothesis testing are obtained sig. <alpha, so the assertiveness of the bystander correlates with adolescent bullying. The implication of guidance and counseling in an effort to increase bystander assertiveness and overcome bullying is that a guidance and counseling program is drafted in the field of personal and social services. Recommendations are shown for: (1) Guidance and Counseling Teachers / Counselors to be able to implement the design of guidance and counseling programs to test their effectiveness in developing assertive bystander attitudes and overcoming adolescence bullying; (2) further research can develop broader respondents, examining other factors from the bystander that influence bullying such as personality characteristics and self-esteem, family attitudes, cultural environment, playgroup, mass media and gender.
