Abstract

Permasalahan yang terjadi pada peserta didik di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung Barat yaitu masih banyaknya ditemukan miskonsepsi diantaranya pada konsep rangkaian listrik paralel, tekanan hidrostatis dan koefisien pegas. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendapatkan gambaran perubahan konsepsi peserta didik terkait konsep rangkaian listrik paralel, tekanan hidrostatis dan koefisien pegas sebagai efek penerapan model VCCLab, bias gender dalam pencapaian perubahan konsepsi sebagai efek dari penerapan model VCCLab dan tanggapan peserta didik terhadap model VCCLab. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pre-experiment dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 30 peserta didik kelas XII untuk konsep rangkaian listrik paralel, 34 peserta didik kelas XI untuk konsep tekanan hidrostatis dan 28 peserta didik kelas XI untuk konsep koefisien pegas. Peserta didik dipilih dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Peserta didik berusia sekitar 16-17 tahun di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung Barat. Keadaan konsepsi peserta didik saat sebelum dan setelah penerapan model VCCLab didiagnosis dengan menggunakan tes konsepsi format four tier-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model VCCLab dapat mengubah sebagian besar konsepsi peserta didik SMA terkait konsep rangkaian listrik paralel dengan persentase penurunan sebesar 93,3%, tekanan hidrostatis dengan persentase penurunan sebesar 97% dan koefisien pegas dengan persentase penurunan sebesar 96,4 % dari konsepsi awal yang miskonsepsi menjadi konsepsi akhir yang konsepsi ilmiah, tidak ditemukan bias gender dalam perubahan konsepsi dan hampir seluruh peserta didik memberikan tanggapan positif. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model VCCLab dapat mengubah sebagian besar konsepsi peserta didik SMA terkait konsep rangkaian listrik paralel, tekanan hidrostatis dan koefisien pegas dari keadaan miskonsepsi ke konsepsi ilmiah. The problem that occurs in students at one of the public high schools in West Bandung Regency is that there are still many misconceptions, including the concept of parallel electrical circuits, hydrostatic pressure and spring coefficient. The purpose of this study is to get an overview of the changes in the concept of students 'conception related to the concept of parallel electric circuits, hydrostatic pressure and spring coefficients as the effect of applying the VCCLab model, gender bias in achieving changes in conception as an effect of applying the VCCLab model and students' responses to the VCCLab model. The research method used in this study was pre-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted on 30 students of class XII for the concept of parallel electric circuits, 34 students of class XI for the concept of hydrostatic pressure and 28 students of class XI for the concept of spring coefficient. Students are selected using proportional random sampling technique. Students aged 16-17 years old in one of the public high schools in West Bandung Regency. Students' conception conditions before and after the application of the VCCLab model were diagnosed using a four tier-test format conception test. The results showed that the application of the VCCLab model could change most of the high school students' conceptions regarding the concept of parallel electrical circuits with a percentage reduction of 93.3%, hydrostatic pressure with a percentage decrease of 97% and a spring coefficient with a percentage decrease of 96.4% of the conception The beginning of the misconception became the final conception of a scientific conception, there was no gender bias in changing conceptions and almost all students gave positive responses. Therefore, it can be concluded that the VCCLab model can change most of the high school students' conceptions regarding the concept of parallel electrical circuits, hydrostatic pressure and spring coefficients from misconception to scientific conceptions.
