Abstract

Dalam lingkungan pendidikan, perlu adanya kerjasama antara guru dan orang tua dalam meningkatkan proses pembelajaran anak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya perhatian dan dukungan dari orang tua kepada anaknya. Dampak dari hal tersebut anak tidak memiliki motivasi untuk belajar. Penelitian tersebut bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola asuh orang tua terhadap hasil belajar anak di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik korelasional. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling, sebanyak 55 siswa kelas V merupakan subjek. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa pola asuh yang mendomasi adalah pola asuh demokratis yaitu 65,5%. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan hasil belajar anak. Dari ketiga pola asuh tersebut, pola asuh demokratislah yang cocok diterapkan oleh orang tua kepada anaknya, karena sangat berpengaruh pada hasil prestasi belajar. Diharapkan adanya kerjasama antara orang tua dengan guru dalam hal meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan pengajarannya. In education environment, the cooperation between teacher and parents in improving children's learning process in needed. The background of this study is the lack of attention and support from parents to their children. The impact of the phenomenon is that children don't have any motivation to study. This study aims to investigate the relationship of parenting style to children's learning outcomes in elementary school. The research method in this study used quantitative method with correlational technique. The sampling technique was random sampling, with 55 students of fifth grade as the subjects. The data collection techniques were questionnaire and documentation. The findings of this study show that the dominant parenting style is democratic parenting with percentage of 65,5%. The result of hypothesis test revealed that there is a relationship between parenting style and children's learning outcomes. From the three parenting styles, the democratic parenting is the most suitable style applied by the parents to their children since it greatly affects the learning achievement. It is hoped that there will be a cooperation between teacher and parents in improving the process of learning and teaching.
