Abstract

Stres akademik pada peserta didik disebabkan adanya persepsi yang salah mengenai segala tuntutan akademik di sekolah dan kurangnya keyakinan peserta didik bahwa segala peristiwa di dalam kehidupannya dapat dikendalikan oleh diri sendiri. Bimbingan dan konseling memiliki peranan yang penting dalam membentuk locus of control internal peserta didik dalam mereduksi stres akademik yang dialami oleh mereka. Tujuan penelitian mengetahui hubungan antara locus of control dengan stres akademik pada peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas X SMAIT As Syifa Boarding School Subang tahun ajaran 2012/2013. Hasil penelitian: tidak adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara locus of control peserta didik dengan stres akademik. Kata kunci : Locus of Control, Stres Akademik, Boarding School, Studi Korelasi Students academic stress was caused by a wrong perception about the academic demands of the school and students lack of confidence that all events in life can be handled by themselves. Guidance and counseling has an important role in shaping the internal locus of control students in reducing academic stress experienced by them. Study aimed correlation between locus of control with academic stress on students. The method used in this research is descriptive correlation with a quantitative approach. Subjects were students in 10th grade of SMAIT As Syifa Boarding School Subang academic year 2012-2013. The result: no significant correlation between student’s locus of control with academic stress. . Keywords: Locus of Control, Academic Stress, Boarding School, Correlation Study
