Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan menulis yang menimpa hampir semua jenjang di sekolah terutama tingkat menengah menjadi dasar penelitian ini. Siswa kesulitan menemukan ide dan merasa pembelajaran menulis dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia terasa membosankan. Model Joyfull Learning dapat mengatasi permasalahan tersebut karena mengajak siswa belajar dengan cara yang menyenangkan. Penerapan model ini juga dibantu oleh media komik digital yang disenangi anak-anak sehingga siswa merasa terhibur ketika belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan 1) kemampuan siswa sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan perlakuan Joyfull Learning; 2) perbedaan signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan pembanding. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari dua kelompok, yang terdiri 30 orang kelompok eksperimen, dan 30 orang kelompok pembanding yang diambil secara random sampling. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap yaitu prates, perlakuan, dan postes. Analisis data menunjukan nilai rata-rata prates kelas eksperimen dan pembanding sebesar 63. Rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen sebesar 77 dan pembanding 69. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat perbedaan signifikan dalam pembelajaran menulis cerita fantasi. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis, diperoleh thitung sebesar 2.805 dan ttabel sebesar 1.697. Diketahui bahwa thitung > ttabel yaitu 2.805 > 1.697 dengan signifikansi 0,009 < 0,05. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa teknik joyfull learning efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerita fantasi. ---- The low ability to write that afflicts almost all levels in schools, especially secondary level, forms the basis of this research. The students have difficulty finding ideas and writing in Indonesian language feels boring. The Joyfull Learning Model can overcome these problems because it invites students to learn in a fun way. The application of this model is also assisted by digital comic media which are loved by children so that students feel entertained when learning. This study aims to describe 1) the ability of students before and after applying the Joyfull Learning treatment; 2) significant differences between the experimental and comparator classes. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design. This research was conducted in three stages, namely pre-treatment, treatment, and post-test. Data analysis showed the average value of the experimental and comparison class pre-test was 63. The average post-test experimental class was 77 and comparator 69. The results showed there were significant differences in learning to write fantasy stories. Based on the hypothesis test, obtained thitung amounted to 2,805 and t table amounted to 1,697. It is known that t count > t table is 2,805 > 1,697 with a significance of 0.009 < 0.05. It can be concluded that the joyfull learning technique is effectively used in learning to write fantasy text.
