Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah yang ditemukan pada pembelajaran di kelas yang berkaitan dengan keterampilan sosial dan kemampuan adaptasi diantaranya masih sering dijumpai siswa yang berbicara kasar kepada teman sebayanya, masih memilih-milih teman untuk bergaul. Siswa kurang memiliki keterampilan bertanya kepada guru saat kegiatan pembelajaran. Siswa belum memiliki rasa tanggung jawab terhadap tugasnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial dan kemampuan adaptasi siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen kuasi desain non equivalent control group design dengan sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas 5 sekolah dasar yang bertempat SD Mathla’ul Khoeiyah. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrument tes dan non tes yang disusun berdasarkan indikator keterampilan sosial yaitu berusaha saling mengenal, berbagi informasi, mendengarkan atau berbicara saling bergiliran, sopan dalam berbicara dan meyakinkan orang untuk dapat mengemukakan pendapat, mendengarkan orang berbicara sampai selesai tanpa memotong pembicaraan tersebut, bekerjasama, saling menolong, saling memperhatikan, mengendalikan diri, empati , menaati kesepakatan, dan mencari solusi dengan berdiskusi. Untuk indikator kemampuan adaptasi yaitu memiliki persepsi akurat terhadap realita, kemampuan untuk beradaptasi dengan tekanan atau stress dan kecemasan, mempunyai gambaran diri yang positif tentang dirinya, kemampuan untuk mengekspresikan perasaannya, dan relasi interpersonal baik. Pelaksanaan kegiatan terdiri dari pelaksanaan pre test lalu pemberian tindakan sebanyak tiga kali tindakan dan diakhiri dengan kegiatan post test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan sosial dan kemampuan adaptasi siswa di kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan non tes. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat dijadikan alternatif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan sosial dan kemampuan adaptasi siswa. this research is motivated by problems in learning in the classroom. Where found several findings related to social skills and adaptability, among them are still often found students who speak rudely to their peers, and are still picking friends to hang out. Students lack the skills to ask the teacher when learning activities take place so that only certain students who always ask. Students do not yet have a sense of responsibility towards their assignments as a student. This is the cause of the lack of social skills and adaptability of students. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of jigsaw cooperative learning in developing social skills and adaptation abilities of 5th grade elementary school students. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method of non equivalent control group design with a sample of research, namely 5th grade elementary school students, located at Mathla'ul Khoeiyah Elementary School. This study uses data collection instruments in the form of test and non-test instruments compiled based on indicators of social skills that are trying to get to know each other, share information, listen or talk in turns, be polite in speaking and convince people to express their opinions, listen to people talk to completion without interrupting the discussion, work together, help each other, pay attention to each other, control themselves, empathy, obey the agreement, and find solutions by discussion. For indicators of adaptability, that is, having an accurate perception of reality, the ability to adapt to pressure or stress and anxiety, having a positive self-image about himself, the ability to express his feelings, and good interpersonal relationships. The results of the study showed an increase in social skills and adaptability of students in the experimental class who applied the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model using test and non-test instruments. Then it can be concluded that the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model can be used as an alternative in developing social skills and students' adaptability.
