Abstract
Judul penelitian ini yaitu “penerapan model Think-Pair-Share untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep sifat-sifat cahaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perencanaan penerapan model Think-Pair-Sharepada materi sifat-sifat cahaya, mengetahui pelaksanaan penerapan model Think-Pair-Sharepada materi sifat-sifat cahaya serta mengetahuipeningkatan penguasaan konsep siswa dengan penerapan model Think-Pair-Share pada materi Sifat-sifat cahaya. Untuk menjawab permasalahan di atas dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunkan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang mencakup perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi, kemudian membuat perencanaan selanjutnya. Penelitian ini dilaksanaan sebanyak tiga siklus. Data penelitian diperoleh dari SDN 2 Cibodas Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat kelas V A berjumlah 36 siswa. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah lembar evaluasi, LKS dan hasil observasi. Untuk setiap siklus dianalisis menggunakan metode deskripsi. Dengan menerapkan model Think-Pair-Share dapat meningkatkan penguasaan konsep siswa begitupun dalam proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Think-Pair-Share, tahap think siswa menjawab pertanyaan dari guru, tahap Pair adapun ada dua kegiatan yaitu percobaan dan demonstrasi, tahap share siswa berkelompok membuat keimpulan dan tiap pasangan berbagi keseluruh kelas. Terbukti dengan penguasaan konsep siswa pada siklus I mencapai 63% nilai rata-rata 22, ketercapain KKM 64% nilai rata-rata 67,2, siklus II 81% nilai rata-rata 26, ketercapain KKM 83,3% nilai rata-rata 78, dan siklus III 86,3% nilai rata-rata 78, ketercapain KKM 92% nilai rata-rata 84,4. Upaya mengatasi hambatan penggunaan model Think-Pair-Share dengan membuat perencanaan dan menyusun pelaksanaan berdasarkan langkah-langkah Think-Pair-Share dengan tepat, sehingga materi dapat dikuasi siswa, memperdalam pemahaman guru dalam menerapkan model Think-Pair-Share. The title of this research is “the implementation of Think-Pair-Share model to increase capability in light characteristics’ concept. Aims of this research are to know the lesson plan of Think-Pair-Share model in the course of light characteristics, to know the lesson plan of Think-Pair-Share in the course of light characteristics and then to know that there is an increasing in capability students’ concept with applying Think-Pair-Share model in the course of light characteristics. To solve the problems above there is a research using Class Action Research (CAR) planning, implementation, observation and reflection that gathered, afterwards make plan furthermore. This research has been executed as much three cycles. The research data has been gathered from SDN 2 Cibodas Kecamatan Lembang Kabupaten Bandung Barat in the 5A grader that contains 36 students. The type of data that has been used is evaluation sheet, LKS and observation result. Every cycle has been analyzed by using description method. With applying Think-Pair-Share model can increase capability of students’ concept even in the process of learning and applying Think-Pair-Share, in the Think phase students try to answer the question from the teacher, in the Pair phase there are two activities that are experiment and demonstration, in the Share phase students gathered to make conclusion and for each pair shares to the whole class. It is proven with capability of students’ concept in the I cycle reach 63% with average score 22, with achievement of KKM 64% with average score 67.2, in the II cycle reach 81% with average score 26, with achievement KKM 83,3% with average score 78, and III cycle reach 86,3% with average score 78, with achievement KKM 92% with average score 84.4. The effort to overcome obstacles in applying Think-Pair-Share model with make a plan and construct the implementation based on step to step in Think-Pair-Share model correctly, so that course can be controlled by students, deepen understanding of the teacher in the applying of Think-Pair-Share model.
