Abstract

ABSTRAK PENINGKATAN KECERDASAN SOSIAL SISWA DALAM MATA PELAJARAN IPS DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE PICTURE AND PICTURE ( Penelitian Tindakan Kelas di Kelas VIII-6 SMP Negeri 1 Bandung) Oleh : Nisa Faizia Nafa Penelitian ini didasarkan pada permasalahan yang terjadi pada siswa kelas VIII-6 SMP Negeri 1 Bandung mengenai kecerdasan sosial dalam pembelajaran IPS. Sebagian besar siswa kelas VIII-6 belum memenuhi kriteria tuntas kecerdasan sosial dalam pembelajaran IPS. Untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan sosial pada kelas VIII-6 SMP Negeri 1 Bandung, peneliti menggunakan model Cooperative Learning Tipe Picture and Picture. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Adapun desain model penelitian tindakan kelas yang akan dilaksanakan adalah desain model Kemmis dan Mc Taggart. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas kelas VIII-6 SMP Negeri 1 Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa pedoman observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, lembar tes hasil belajar. Data-data yang yang berhasil dikumpulkan dari pelaksanaan observasi kemudian divalidasi menggunakan teknik member check, triangulasi, audit trail, expert opinion. Berdasarkan pengamatan siswa kelas VIII-6 yang terdiri dari 32 siswa, dalam setiap kelompok belajar siswa dalam kecerdasan sosial yang diterapkan siklus pertama mencapai 50%, siklus kedua mencapai 57%, dan siklus ketiga mencapai 75%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan sosial siswa pada pembelajaran IPS yang tercermin pada hasil belajar siswa telah mengalami peningkatan. Dengan demikian, penggunaan Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Picture and Picture dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan sosial kelas VII-6 SMP Negeri 1 Bandung. ABSTRACT STUDENTS’ SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE IMPROVEMENT IN SOCIAL STUDIES USING PICTURE AND PICTURE METHOD (Classroom Action Research in Class VIII-6 of SMP Negeri 1 Bandung) By: Nisa Faizia Nafa This research is based on the problem occured in students of class VIII-6 SMP Negeri 1 Bandung regarding social intelligence in social studies learning. Most students of class VIII-6 have not fulfilled the complete criteria of social intelligence in social studies learning. Picture and Picture type of Cooperative Learning model is applied to improve social intelligence in class VIII-6 of SMP Negeri 1 Bandung. The research method used in this study is Classroom Action Research. The design of the class action research model carried out is the design of Kemmis and Mc Taggart model. The subjects in this study were all students of class VIII-6 of SMP Negeri 1 Bandung. The study applied observation guidance, interviews, field notes, and learning outcomes test sheets as the instruments. The data collected from the observations were further validated using member check, triangulation, audit trail, and expert opinion techniques. Based on observations of class VIII-6 consisting of 32 students, in each study group students in the social intelligence applied, the first cycle reached 50%, the second cycle reached 57%, and the third cycle reached 75%. The findings show that the social intelligence of students in social studies learning, which is reflected in student learning outcomes, had gain improvement. Thus, the use of the Picture and Picture Cooperative Learning Model can improve the social intelligence of class VII-6 of SMP Negeri 1 Bandung.
