Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan guru dalam menentukan bahan ajar cerpen di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan unsur intrinsik kumpulan cerpen Konvensi karya A. Mustofa Bisri, mendeskripsikan nilai didaktis kumpulan cerpen Konvensi karya A. Mustofa Bisri, mendeskripsikan tingkat relevansi cerpen tersebut dengan kriteria pemilihan bahan ajar di SMA dan menyusun rancangan bahan ajar dari kumpulan cerpen Konvensi karya A. Mustofa Bisri. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi pustaka dan analisis beberapa cerpen pada buku kumpulan cerpen Konvensi. Pengolahan data pada penelitian ini melalui analisis struktural Robert Stanton secara keseluruhan, lalu di bagian alur dan pengaluran menggunakan analisis model Todorov, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan menganalisis nilai didaktis yang terdapat pada cerpen. Selanjutnya, peneliti membuat bahan ajar berupa modul teks cerpen sebagai alternatif bahan ajar sastra di SMA untuk siswa kelas XI dengan memanfaatkan nilai didaktis yang terdapat dalam buku kumpulan cerpen Konvensi. Hasil pada penelitian ini ditemukan adanya struktur cerpen berupa 1) alur dan pengaluran yang mudah dipahami oleh pembaca mulai dari pengenalan cerita, konflik cerita, hingga penyelesaian masalah, 2) Tokoh dan penokohan dalam cerita secara garis besar tokoh utama selalu muncul pada awal cerita dan memiliki penokohan yang baik sehingga dapat diteladani pembaca, 3) Latar tempat kejadian cerita diungkapkan dengan jelas dalam cerpen dan latar sosial budaya yang terdapat pada cerpen secara garis besar sangat erat kaitannya dengan budaya Indonesia khususnya budaya Jawa, 4) tema pada cerpen secara umumnya tergolong tema sosial, 5) judul pada setiap cerpen sudah sesuai dengan isi ceritanya, 6) gaya bahasa secara keseluruhan menggunakan gaya bahasa denotatif dan mudah dipahami pembaca dan, 7) sudut pandang yang paling sering digunakan ialah sudut pandang orang ketiga maha tau (third-person omniscient). Selain itu, didapatkan hasil bahwa keenam cerpen tersebut memiliki nilai diaktis. Nilai didaktis yang sering muncul dari keemam cerpen ialah nilai hikmah, nilai kesabaran, dan nilai kegigihan. Hasil penilaian bahan ajar berupa modul yang telah peneliti buat dinyatakan layak oleh expert judgment sebagai alternatif bahan ajar. Kata kunci: cerpen, nilai diaktis, bahan ajar ABSTRACT This study is motivated by the difficulty of teachers in determining short story teaching materials in high school. This study aims to describe the intrinsic elements of Convention: Collection of short stories by A. Mustofa Bisri, to describe the didactic value of Convention: Collection of short stories by A. Mustofa Bisri, and to describe the level of relevance of the short stories with the criteria for selecting teaching materials in highs chool and compile a design of teaching materials from Convention: Collection of short stories by A. Mustofa Bisri. The study used descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected through literature study and analysis of several short stories in Book of Conventions: Collection of Short Stories. Data processing in this study is through structural analysis of Robert Stanton as a whole, then in the flow and distribution section using the Todorov model analysis, and proceeded to analyze the didactic values found in the short stories. Furthermore, researcher made teaching materials using a short story text module as an alternative to literature teaching materials in high school for 11th grade’s students by using the didactic value that contained in Book of Conventions: Collection of Short Stories. The results of this study found a short story structure are (1) flow and distribution that is easy for the reader to understand, from story introduction, story conflict, to problem solving. (2) character and characterization, in general the main character always appears at the beginning of the story and has good characterizations so the readers can emulate. (3) setting place is clearly expressed in the short story and the socio-cultural background contained in the short story is generally very closely related to Indonesian culture, especially Javanese culture. (4) themes in short stories were generally classified as social themes. (5) the title of each short story is matched the content of the story (6) language style as a whole used denotative language style and is easily understood by the reader and, (7) point of view, the most commonly used point of view (the third-person omniscient). In addition, the results show that the six of short stories have didactic value. The didactic values that often exist from the short stories are the value of wisdom, the value of patience, and the value of persistence. The results of the assessment of teaching materials in the kind of modules that researcher had made were declared feasible by the epert judgment as an alternative to teaching materials.
