Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa MTs pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Penelitian ini dilakukan di MTs Negeri 1 Kota Serang dengan jumlah subjek penelitian 35 siswa kelas VIII. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan teknik analisis data induktif yang meliputi : reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa siswa yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis tinggi cenderung dapat menyelesaikan soal bangun ruang sisi datar pada aspek keaslian, kelancaran, keluwesan dan kerincian. Siswa yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis sedang cenderung hanya dapat memberikan satu jawaban yang tepat pada aspek keaslian, kelancaran, keluwesan dan kerincian. Sedangkan siswa yang memiliki tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis rendah cenderung memberikan jawaban yang tidak lengkap dan tidak tepat pada aspek keaslian, kelancaran, keluwesan, tetapi pada aspek kerincian dapat memberikan satu jawaban benar. Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir Kreatif Matematis, Tingkat Berpikir Kreatif Matematis, Aspek Berpikir Kreatif Matematis. The aims of this research is to describe the mathematical creative thinking ability of MTs students on polyhedron topic. This research was conducted at MTs Negeri 1 Kota Serang with 35 students class VIII. The research used case study type with inductive data analysis techniques including: data reduction, data display, conclusions drawing and verification. The instruments used were tests of mathematical creative thinking ability and interview guidelines. The result of this study concluded that students with a high level of mathematical creative thinking ability tend to solve polyhedron problems in the aspects of originality, fluency, flexibility, and elaboration. Students with a medium level of mathematical creative thinking ability tends to give one overall correct answer to polyhedron problems in the aspects of originality, fluency, flexibility, and elaboration. Meanwhile, students with low level mathematical creative thinking ability tends to give incorrect answers to polyhedron problems in the aspects of originality, fluency, flexibility, but in the elaboration aspect it gives one correct answer even though it is not detailed.
