Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi kurangnya pengoptimalan dalam menstimulus perkembangan kemampuan berpikir fleksibilitas yang merupakan salah satu indikator dari berpikir kreatif pada anak usia dini. Berpikir fleksibilitas penting untuk dioptimalkan sejak dini agar anak dapat memiliki kemampuan dalam menghasilkan berbagai alternatif dalam pemecahan permasalahan yang akan anak dihadapi saat ini atau ketika dewasa nanti. Permasalahan tersebut model pembelajaran STEAM-Project Based Learning (PjBL) ini dapat menjadi salah satu solusi model pembelajaran yang berpeluang dalam meningkatkan perkembangan kemampuan berpikir fleksibilitas pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengindentifikasi level perkembangan kemampuan berpikir fleksibilitas anak pada rangkaian pembelajaran STEAM PjBL dan mengidentifikasi peningkatan level perkembangan kemampuan berpikir fleksibilitas anak selama rangkaian pembelajaran STEAM PjBL. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kombinasi atau mixed methods dengan desain penelitian concurrent embebbed. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukan adanya peningkatan level perkembangan kemampuan berpikir fleksibilitas anak pada setiap project yang dilakukan, hal ini lihat berdasarkan data hasil observasi pada setiap tahapan STEAM PjBLyaitu pada tahap relfection, research, discovery, application, dan communication serta data yang perolehan dari nilai rata-rata anak dalam pengukuran skala likert pada data kuantitatif disetiap indikator. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat diidentifikasi bahwa adanya peningkatan level perkembangan kemampuan berpikir fleksibilitas anak pada rangkaian pembelajaran STEAM PjBL. This research is backed by a lack of optimisation to stimulate the development of the flexibility of thinking, which is one of the indicators of creative thinking in early childhood. While thinking flexibility is important to be optimized early so that the child can have the ability to produce various alternatives in solving problems that will be faced by current children or when adults later. The issue of this STEAM-Project Based Learning (PjBL) model can be one of the learning model solutions that have the opportunity to improve the development skills of flexibility in children. The research aims to describe and identify the level of development of child's flexibility thinking on a series of PjBL and identifies the increase in the development level of child's flexibility thinking during the PjBL learning suite. This research uses a combination method or mixed methods with concurrent embebbed research design. Based on the results of research conducted showing the increase in the level of development of children's flexibility thinking in each project conducted, this view based on the observation data on each stage of STEAM PjBL is at the stage of relfection, research, discovery, application, and communication as well as data that gains from the average child values in measuring Likert scale on quantitative data in each indicator. Based on the results of the study can be identified that there is an increase in the level of child flexibility thinking skills on the learning series of STEAM PjBL.
