Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa yang masih rendah. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari data awal siswa yang menunjukan 16,13% siswa yang dapat mencapai KKM ≥ 75. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN Mekarwangi 04 pada siswa kelas V semester II yang berjumlah 15 orang dengan 9 siswa laki-laki dan 6 siswa perempuan. Tujuan yang melandasi penelitian ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa serta upaya meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran. Maka dari itu, diperlukan metode yang tepat dan dapat mengoptimalkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dengan menggunakan Salah satu model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), dengan desain penelitian Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart yang terdiri empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes dan observasi. Penilitian ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa 68 dengan presentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 40%. Siklus II nilai rata-rata 77 dengan presentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 53,33%. Pada siklus III nilai rata-rata siswa 85 dengan presentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 80% Penelitian ini dinyatakan berhasil karena telah mencapai standar kriteria ketuntasan yang telah ditetapkan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa di sekolah dasar. The background of this research refers to a previous study that has been carried out that the students' conceptual understanding ability is still low. This can be seen from the preliminary data of students which showed 16.13% of students who could reach KKM ≥ 75. This study include 15 participants (9 male and 6 female) and was conducted at SDN Mekarwangi 04 for the students class V in the second semester. The purpose of this research is to improve students' understanding of concept skills and efforts to increase student activities in learning. Therefore, the right method is needed and can optimize the ability of students to understand the concept of using one type of cooperative learning model make a match. The research used method that proposed by Kemmis and Mc, Classroom Action Research (CAR). Taggart consists of four stages: planning, acting, observing, reflecting. The instruments used tests and observations. This research was conducted in three cycles. First, the average value of students was 85 with a percentage of mastery learning at 40%. Second, the average value students was 77 with a percentage of mastery learning at 53.33%. Third, the average value of students wa 85 with a percentage of mastery learning at 80%. This study was confirmed successful, because it has reached the standard criteria for completeness that have been set. It can be concluded that by applying the make a match type of cooperative learning model can enhance the ability of students to understand the concept in primary school.
