Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan karena didasari masih rendahanya keterampilan lari jarak pendek (sprint) siswa dalam mata pelajaran pendidikan jasmani materi atletik. Peneltian ini bertujuan untuk memperbaiki nilai keterampilan lari siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Sindangmandi dalam mata pelajaran pendidikan jasmani pada materi atletik nomor lari jarak pendek (sprint) yang mana masih banyak siswa yang mendapatkan nilai dibawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) 75. Hal ini terjadi karena masih banyak siswa yang belum mengetahui teknik melakukan gerakan lari yang baik dan benar. Metode yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Instrument yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian yang di peroleh pada tahap pra siklus nilai rata-rata seluruh siswa yaitu 70 dengan presentase ketuntasan klasikal 47%, pada siklus I setelah menerapkan permainan tradisional benteng-bentengan (dengan benteng yang berupa kardus) dalam proses pembelajarannya nilai rata-rata seluruh siswa naik menjadi 73 dengan presentase ketuntasan klasikal 62,5%, akan tetapi belum mencapai indikator keberhasilan maka peneliti melakukan tindak lanjut ke siklus berikutnya. Kemudian pada siklus II tahapannya sama seperti pada siklus I akan tetapi pada permainan benteng-bentengannya diganti pada bagian benteng yang tadinya kardus diubah menjadi tiang yang diatasnya digantung bola kecil dan hasilnya nilai rata-rata siswa meningkat menjadi 75 dengan presentase ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 84%. Dari hasil siklus II sudah mencapai indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan yaitu nilai rata-rata siswa minimal 75 dan presentase ketuntasan klasikal minimal 80%. Dengan demikian peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan permainan benteng-bentengan dalam proses pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani pada materi atletik nomor lari jarak pendek (sprint) dapat meningkatkan keterampilan lari pada siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri Sindangmandi. This research aims to improve the value of running skills of fifth grade students of Sindangmandi Public Elementary School in physical education subjects on athletic material for sprint numbers where there are still many students who get grades below the Minimum Completion Criteria (MCC) 75. This happens because there are still many students who do not yet know the technique of doing a good and correct running motion. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative approach. The instruments used were observation, test and documentation. The results of the study obtained in the pre-cycle stage the average value of all students is 70 with a percentage of classical completeness 47%, in the first cycle after applying the traditional game fortress-bentengan (with a fortress in the form of cardboard) in the learning process the average value of all students rose to 73 with a percentage of classical completeness 62.5%, but has not yet reached the indicator of success, the researchers followed up on the next cycle. Then in the second cycle the stages are the same as in the first cycle but in the fort game, the pieces are replaced in the part of the fort where the cardboard was turned into a pole on which a small ball is hung and the result is that the average value of students increases to 75 with a percentage of completeness of 84%. From the results of the second cycle, it has reached the established indicators of success, namely the average student score of at least 75 and the percentage of classical completeness of at least 80%. Thus the researchers concluded that by applying the fort-bentengan game in the process of physical education learning on athletic material for short distance running numbers (sprints) could improve running skills in fifth grade students of Sindangmandi State Primary School.
