Abstract

Belajar matematika bukan untuk penguasaan materi matematika saja, akan tetapi untuk penguasaan kemampuan matematika juga, kemampuan komunikasi matematis merupakan salah satunya. Model pembelajaran CORE) adalah model belajar yang bisa menghubungkan pengetahuan yang telah dimiliki oleh siswa dengan pengetahuan yang baru dipelajari siswa, siswa pun dapat memperluas pengetahuannya. Tujuannya yaitu untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran CORE, pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE terhadap peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, serta respon siswa dalam kegiatan belajar dengan model pembelajaran CORE. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode pre-eksperimen One-Group-Pretest-Posttest dan 20 siswa sekolah dasar kelas V di SD Negeri Kecamatan Klangenan, Kabupaten Cirebon sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen tes dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis didapatkan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,64 termasuk dalam kriteria sedang, dan regresi sebesar 59,7%. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE dalam meningkatkan kemampuan matematis siswa sekolah dasar, dan peningkatannya termasuk kriteria sedang, serta respon siswa dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran CORE ini baik, ditunjukkan saat wawancara dan keaktifan saat pembelajaran. Learning mathematics is not only for mastering mathematical material, but also for mastering mathematical abilities as well and mathematical communication ability are one of them. Learning models of the Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) is a learning model that could connect the knowledge that is already owned by students with the recently knowledge learned by students, students could expand their knowledge. The aims are to see an increase in students 'mathematical communication ability before and after using the CORE learning model, the effect of the CORE learning model on improving students' mathematical communication ability, and student responses in learning activities with the CORE learning model. The method used was the One-Group-Pretest-Posttest pre-experimental method and 20 students grade V elementary school students in Klangenan State Elementary School, Cirebon District as a sample. This study uses test and interview instruments. Based on the analysis result obtained the N-Gain score of 0.64 included in the medium criteria, and a regression of 59.7%. It can be concluded that the influence of the CORE learning model is improving the mathematical abilities of elementary school students, and the increase is conclude as moderate criteria, and the student responses in using this CORE learning model are good, as shown during interviews and activeness during learning.
