Abstract

Penelitian ini didorong akibat menurunnya konsentrasi belajar siswa dalam teknik menangkap pembelajaran di kelas akibat melewatkan sarapan. Melewatkan sarapan dapat berpengaruh buruk bagi kondisi tubuh terutama otak karena dapat menurunkan konsentrasi saat belajar. Tujuan dibuatnya penelitian ini untuk menyelami dampak sarapan bagi konsentrasi siswa saat belajar di dalam kelas antara siswa yang mempunyai rutinitas sarapan dengan siswa yang tidak memiliki rutinitas sarapan. Metode yang dipakai yakni eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest group design. Ukuran sampel menggunakan rekomendasi para ahli dari Creswell yaitu sebanyak 30 responden. Responden diambil dari kelas V SDN Sukaluyu IV. Kelompok penelitian dibagi menjadi dua yaitu sarapan (eksperimen) dan tanpa sarapan (kontrol) dengan tiap-tiap kelompok terdiri dari 15 siswa. Penarikan sampel dengan memakai teknik quota sampling. Perangkat yang digunakan adalah angket dengan menggunakan skala guttman sebanyak 16 soal. Kelompok sarapan sebagai kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan berupa sarapan sesuai kesanggupan masing-masing responden. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi siswa tidak efektif bagi yang tidak memiliki rutinitas sarapan sebesar 39,84 %. Bagi siswa yang memiliki kebiasaan sarapan konsentrasi efektif berpengaruh sebesar 86,67% sehingga jauh mengungguli anak yang tidak memiliki rutinitas sarapan. Dengan demikian, sarapan dapat berpengaruh signifikan terhadap konsentrasi belajar siswa di kelas V SDN Sukaluyu IV sebesar 46,88%. This research was encouraged due to the decrease in student concentration in catch learning techniques in class due to skipping breakfast. Skipping breakfast can be bad for the body, especially the brain because it can reduce concentration while studying. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of breakfast on student concentration while studying in the classroom between students who have breakfast routines and students who do not have breakfast routines. The method used was an experiment with a pretest-posttest group design. The sample size uses the recommendations of experts from Creswell as many as 30 respondents. Respondents were taken from class V SDN Sukaluyu IV. The research group was divided into two, namely breakfast (experimental) and without breakfast (control) with each group consisting of 15 students. Withdrawal of samples using quota sampling technique. The device used was a questionnaire using a Guttman scale of 16 questions. The breakfast group as an experimental group was given treatment in the form of breakfast according to the abilities of each respondent. Based on the results of the study showed that the concentration of students was not effective for those who did not have breakfast routines by 39.84%. For students who have breakfast routines, effective concentration has an effect of 86.67% so that it far outperforms student who do not have breakfast routines. Therefore, breakfast can have a significant effect on the concentration of student learning in class V SDN Sukaluyu IV by 46.88%.
