Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki dan dikembangkan oleh setiap siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas V pada materi volume kubus dan balok serta mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika di salah satu Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Cariu, Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif dimana setiap hasil dari analisis ini akan dideskripsikan secara lebih cermat dan jelas mengenai kemampuan pemacahan masalah siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal. Subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah 4 orang siswa kelas V. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui dokumentasi, tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, dan wawancara. Wawancara dilakukan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman siswa mengenai soal yang telah dikerjakan dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesulitan siswa dalam belajar. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukan bahwa tingkat kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada siswa kelas V di salah satu sekolah dasar negeri di Kecamatan Cariu cenderung tinggi. Siswa yang memiliki nilai 81-100 (tergolong sangat tinggi) adalah 1 siswa dengan kemampuan tingkat 4, nilai 61-80 (tergolong tinggi) berjumlah 2 siswa dengan kemampuan tingkat 3, dan nilai 21-40 (tergolong rendah) berjumlah 1 siswa dengan kemampuan tingkat 2. Didapatkan pula rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah dari ke 4 subjek yaitu 64,99 %. Problem-solving ability is one of the abilities that every student must have and develop. This research was conducted to determine how the ability of fifth grade students to solve mathematical problems on the volume of cubes and beams and to determine the factors that affect student difficulties in learning mathematics in one of the elementary schools in Kecamatan Cariu, Kabupaten Bogor. This study uses a qualitative approach type of descriptive research where each result of this analysis will be described more accurately and clearly regarding the students' problem-solving abilities in solving questions. The subjects in this study were 4 students in fifth grade. Data collection was carried out through documentation, problem-solving ability tests, and interviews. Interviews were conducted to determine the extent to which students' understanding of the questions that had been worked on and the factors that affect student difficulties in learning. From the research that has been done, it shows that the level of problem-solving ability of fifth grade students at one of the public elementary schools in Kecamatan Cariu tends to be high. Students who have a grade of 81-100 (classified as very high) are 1 student with an ability level of 4, a value of 61-80 (classified as high) totaling 2 students with an ability level 3, and a score of 21-40 (classified as low) totaling 1 student with the ability level 2. Also obtained an average problem-solving ability of the 4 subjects, namely 64.99%.
