Abstract
Alasan dasar dari penelitian ini yaitu pentingnya kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar dalam pembelajaran matematika. Mata pelajaran matematika masih dianggap sulit oleh sebagian besar masyarakat terutama peserta didik. Hal ini membuat kemampuan-kemampuan matematis siswa cukup rendah. Terdapat tujuh kemampuan di dalam pembelajaran matematika, salah satunya adalah kemampuan penalaran matematis. Kemampuan penalaran matematis sangat diperlukan bagi peserta didik agar peserta didik dapat menalar soal-soal matematika dengan baik. Penellitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar pada pembelajaran matematika materi KPK dan FPB. Subjek yang dipilih merupakan subjek secara acak, dimana peneliti tidak mengetahui kemampuan-kemampuan dari subjek-subjek tersebut sebelum melakukan wawancara dan tes. Subjek yang terpilih berjumlah 6 yang terdiri dari 4 subjek perempuan dan 2 subjek laki-laki. Peneliti ini menggunakan metode analisis kualitatif yaitu studi kasus. Pengambilan data yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini menggunakan 3 cara, yaitu yaitu wawancara, metode tes kemampuan penalaran matematis, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas IV cenderung masih rendah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil tes yang menunjukkan bahwa subjek-subjek tersebut sebagian besar belum bisa mencapai indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis. The basic reason for this research is the importance of students' mathematical reasoning abilities in grade IV of Elementary School in learning mathematics. Mathematics is still considered difficult by most people, especially students. This makes students' mathematical abilities quite low. There are seven abilities in learning mathematics, one of which is mathematical reasoning abilities. Mathematical reasoning skills are needed for students so that students can reason mathematical problems properly. This research was carried out to determine the mathematical reasoning abilities of grade IV elementary school students in mathematics learning material on KPK and FPB. The subjects chosen were random subjects, where the researcher did not know the abilities of these subjects before conducting interviews and tests. There were 6 selected subjects consisting of 4 female subjects and 2 male subjects. This researcher uses a qualitative analysis method, namely a case study. Data were collected in this study using 3 ways, namely interviews, methods of mathematical reasoning ability tests, and documentation. Based on the research results, the fourth grade students' mathematical reasoning skills tend to be low. This is evidenced by the test results which show that most of the subjects have not been able to achieve the indicators of mathematical reasoning ability.
