Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik terhadap penguatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa beserta faktor penyebab penguatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa, dan temuan kemampuan lain dari penggunaan pendekatan matematika realistik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menganalisis pengaruh pendekatan matematika realistik dalam penguatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa. Pengaruh penguatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dapat dilihat dari korelasi antara indikator kemampuan koneksi matematis dan prinsip-prinsip pendekatan matematika realistik, serta teori-teori pembelajaran yang mendukung dan mendasari keduanya yaitu teori piaget, ausubel, vygotsky dan bruner. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian studi literatur. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode literatur. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dan pembahasan dalam penelitian ini, terungkap bahwa siswa mengalami penguatan kemampuan koneksi matematis dengan penggunaan pendekatan matematika realistik. Penguatan kemampuan koneksi matematis secara umum disebabkan antara lain oleh pembelajaran dengan pendekatan matematika realistik memberikan efek positif, menjadikan peserta didik lebih aktif, menjadikan pembelajaran lebih bermakna, pembelajaran mudah dipahami dan melekat lama, meningkatkan konsepsi siswa, siswa menjadi lebih mandiri, siswa dapat membangun konsep dari bahan ajar yang dipelajari, serta prinsip pendekatan matematika realistik yang memfokuskan siswa untuk dapat mengaitkan konsep matematika. Faktor khusus yang menyebabkan penguatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa tersebut terjadi karena faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Faktor internal yaitu semua hal yang menyangkut pendekatan matematika realistik dan kemampuan koneksi matematis. Sedangkan faktor eksternal yaitu semua hal yang mendukung proses kegiatan pembelajaran dan atau hal-hal yang mendukung faktor internal. Selain itu pendekatan matematika realistik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan lainnya dari peserta didik antara lain meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi, representasi, penalaran, dan pemahaman matematis siswa. This study discusses the effect of a realistic mathematical approach on strengthening students 'mathematical connection abilities along with factors that cause an strengthening in students' mathematical connection abilities, and other ability findings from the use of realistic mathematical approaches. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of a realistic mathematics approach in strengthening students' mathematical connection abilities. The effect of strengthening students' mathematical connection ability can be seen from the correlation between indicators of mathematical connection ability and realistic mathematical approaches, as well as learning theories that support and underlie both the theories of Piaget, Ausubel, Vygotsky and Bruner. This research design used in this study was a literary research method. The data collected from this study from literature research. The data analyzed by reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. Based on the findings and discussion in this study, students experience strengthening the ability of mathematical connections with the influence of the use of a realistic mathematics approach. Strengthening the ability of mathematical connections, in general, is caused among others by a positive effect, making students more active, making learning more meaningful, learning easy to understand and sticking out longer, enhancing student conception, students become more self-reliant, students can build concepts of teaching materials that are learned and the principle of realistic mathematical approach that focus students to be able to relate mathematical concepts. Special factors that lead to the strengthening of the students' mathematical connection ability occur due to internal factors and external factors. The internal factors are all the things that involve realistic mathematical approaches and mathematical connection abilities. Meanwhile, external factors are all things that support the process of learning activities and or things that support internal factors. In addition, a realistic mathematical approach can enhance other students’ abilities, among others, improving communication skills, representation, reasoning, and or mathematical understanding.
