Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis adalah proses yang dilakukan seseorang untuk menemukan alternatif jawaban yang baru dan berbeda dalam memecahkan persoalan matematika. Analisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis sangat diperlukan untuk mengetahui sudah sejauh mana kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dan selanjutnya dapat dicarikan solusi agar dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatifnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar dan mengetahui respons siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal berpikir kreatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek yang dipilih adalah 39 siswa kelas IX di SMPN 1 Kota Serang. Teknik analisis data dilakukan berdasarkan pada pedoman penskoran jawaban siswa serta ketercapaian indikator berpikir kreatif pada setiap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam meyelesaikan soal berpikir kreatif, siswa mencapai 3 kriteria kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis, yaitu sangat kreatif, kreatif, dan kurang kreatif. Siswa yang mewakili tiap kriteria kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis tersebut memiliki pencapaian yang berbeda berdasarkan indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif fluency, flexibility, originiality, dan elaboration. Respons siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal berpikir kreatif sangat beragam. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan peneliti dengan siswa, beberapa siswa paham jika menemukan berbagai jawaban dalam satu soal, tetapi ada juga siswa yang kesulitan dan bingung dalam menyelesaikan soal berpikir kreatif. Mathematical creative thinking ability is a process that carried out to find a new and different alternative answers in solving mathematical problems. Analysis of mathematical creative thinking is very needed to find out the extent of students’ mathematical creative thinking ability and then a solution can be found to improve their creative thinking ability. The aims of this study is to describe student’s mathematical creative thinking ability in the topic of solid geometry with flat-faces and to determine students’ responses in solving creative thinking problems. The method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The subject that is selected was thirty nine students of 9th grade students’ at Junior High School 1 Serang City. The data analysis technique is based on scoring student answers and indicators of creative thinking achievement on each mathematical creative thinking ability criterion. The result of this study shows that solving creative thinking problems will allow students to achieve three criteria of mathematical creative thinking ability, which is very creative, creative, and less creative. Students who represent each criterion of mathematical creative thinking ability have different achievements on the indicators of creative thinking abilities of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Students’ responses in solving creative thinking problems is very diverse. Based on the result of interviews conducted by researchers with students’, there are students who understand if they find various answers in one question, but there are also students who have difficulty and confused in solving the creative thinking problems.
