Abstract
Skripsi dengan judul “Analisis Kualitatif Terhadap Kemampuan Representasi Matematis Siswa Kelas IV (Empat) Sekolah Dasar Pada Materi Geometri Bangun Datar” ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa pada setiap aspek representasi yang terdiri dari: visual, simbolik dan verbal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari teknik pemberian tes kemampuan representasi matematis, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data hasil tes kemampuan representasi matematis dianalisis secara kuantitatif, kemudian dianalisis lebih lanjut secara kualitatif bersamaan dengan analisis hasil wawancara menggunakan metode content analysis dari Burhan Bugin yang meliputi: proses reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Subjek penelitian yang dilibatkan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 5 orang siswa kelas IV (empat) sekolah dasar di kecamatan Bungursari Kabupaten Purwakarta yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Kelima subjek penelitian terdiri atas: 1 orang berkemampuan awal matematis tinggi, 2 orang berkemmapuan awal matematis sedang dan 2 orang berkemampuan awal matematis rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kategori kemampuan representasi visual tinggi terdiri dari: SP 5; visual sedang: SP3; visual rendah: SP4, SP2, SP1; simbolik tinggi: SP3, SP4; simbolik sedang: SP4, SP2; simbolik rendah: SP1; verbal tinggi: SP4; verbal sedang: SP5, SP2, SP3; verbal rendah: SP1. Adapun hasil analisis terhadap tipe kesalahan terhadap proses penyelesaian masalah yang dilakukan oleh siswa pada umumnya dipengaruhi oleh tingkat kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep geometri bangun datar serta tingkat kemampuan multiple representasi siswa. Thesis with the title "Qualitative Analysis of the Mathematical Representation Ability of Class IV (Four) Elementary School Students in Flat Geometry Material" aims to analyze and describe the mathematical representation ability of students in every aspect of representation consisting of: visual, symbolic and verbal. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study consisted of test methods, interviews and documentation. Quantitative data on test results and interviews were analyzed qualitatively using content analysis methods from Burhan Bugin which included: the process of data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The subjects of this study were 5 students of grade IV (four) elementary schools in the Bungursari sub-district of Purwakarta Regency who were selected by purposive sampling. The number of research subjects in this study were 5 students consisting of 1 person with high mathematical initial ability, 2 people with moderate mathematical initial ability and 2 people with low mathematical initial ability. The results showed that the category of high visual representation ability consisted of: SP 5; moderate visual: SP3; visual low: SP4, SP2, SP1; symbolic height: SP3, SP4; moderate symbolic: SP4, SP2; Low symbolic: SP1; high verbal: SP4; verbal ssdang: SP5, SP2, SP3; low verbal: SP1. The results of the analysis of problem solving errors are generally influenced by the level of students' ability to understand the geometry concept of flat shapes and the level of ability of multiple representation of students.
