    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ada atau tidak adanya pengaruh dari self esteem terhadap kemampuan HOTS matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif-korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap tahun ajaran 2019/2020 di salah satu SMP di kota Bandung sebanyak 70 siswa. Data kemampuan HOTS matematis siswa diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes, sedangkan data self esteem diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket.. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh positif dan signifikan dari self esteem terhadap kemampuan HOTS matematis siswa SMP.

    This study aims to analyze the presence or absence of the influence of self esteem on the mathematical HOTS ability of junior high school students. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive-correlational methods. The population in this study were all students of class VIII even semester 2019/2020 in one junior high school in the city of Bandung as many as 70 students. Data on students' HOTS mathematical abilities were obtained using tests, whereas self esteem data were obtained using questionnaires. The results showed that there was a positive and significant effect of self esteem on the mathematical HOTS ability of junior high school students.
