Abstract

ABSTRAK Aprilia Tifany (2020) Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis Pada Materi Pecahan di Kelas IV SDN SUCI Peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia sangat dibutuhkan selaras dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan juga teknologi. Berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan akan menciptakan SDM yang berkualitas dan mampu bersaing dalam menghadapi tantangan baru. Namun, dalam implikasinya pendidikan saat ini masih menekankan pada pemahaman kognitif siswa seperti dalam pembelajaran matematika. Matematika perlu dipahami oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat terutama oleh siswa di sekolah formal. Selain itu matematika juga merupakan alat yang dapat diterapkan untuk memecahkan masalah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh sebab itu dibutuhkan model pembelajaran yang menekankan pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yaitu Problem Based Learning yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Laerning pada materi pecahan di kelas IV SD, dan mendeskripsikan peningkatan pemecahan masalah matematis pada materi pecahan setelah menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu PTK (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) yang memfokuskan pada cara meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran saat berada didalam kelas. Instrumen yang digunakan ialah observasi, tes, serta wawancara guru dan siswa kelas IV di SD Negeri Suci. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pembelajaran matematika berbasis model Problem Based Learning sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis serta aktivitas siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari pemahaman siswa yang meningkat dalam melakukan proses dan strategi pemecahan masalah matematis berdasarkan indikator pemecahan masalah. Dengan demikian model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning merupakan model yang sesuai untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya di Sekolah Dasar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Abstrack Aprilia Tifany (2020) The Application of Model Problem Based Learning For Increasing the Ability to Solve Mathematical Problem of Fraction in Grade 4th Suci Elementary School The application quality of human resources is urgently needed in keeping with the development of science as well as technology. The development of science will create qualified human resources and be able to compete in the face of new challenges. But in the implication, education still emphasize student’s cognitive understanding as well as mathematical learning. Math is needed understood of by the whole layer of society especially by the students at the formal school. Math is also workable as a tool that intended to solve a problem in daily life. Therefore, it requires a model of learning that emphasizes the ability to solve matchematical problem based of that learning problem based learning to impove student’s the cability of mathematical problem. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the problem based learning model to fraction material in grade 4th and to describe an increased mathematical problem solving in discarded materials after applying the model of learning problem based learning. The methodology used in this study is class action research that focuses on how to improve the quality of learning while inside the classroom. The instrument used is observation, test and inteview tearchers and students in grade 4th Suci elementary school. Based on research in mathematics based on the model of problem based learning is particulary effective in improving the ability to solve mathematical problem student’s activites. This is seen from the students increased understanding of the process and strategy of mathematical problem solving based on problem solving indicators. Those, the model for learning problems based learning is an appropiate model to apply to mathematical learning especially in elementary schools to enchance the ability to solve mathematical problems.
