Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi siswa tentang kemampuan dasar mengajar guru praktikan di SMK N 9 Garut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X dan XI Kompetensi Keahlian Desain Pemodelan dan Informasi Bangunan di SMK N 9 Garut sebanyak 58 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa tentang kemampuan dasar mengajar guru praktikan masuk dalam kriteria baik, dimana 1) Aspek Membuka Pelajaran dinilai sudah mampu menarik perhatian siswa baik dalam gaya belajar, penggunaan media, variasi dalam pola interaksi, dan kemampuan menimbulkan motivasi, serta kemampuan memberikan acuan. 2) Aspek Menjelaskan dinilai sudah mampu merencanakan isi materi dengan yang baik, penyajian bahasa yang mudah dipahami, pemberian contoh ilustrasi sesuai dengan pemahaman siswa, dan mampu memberikan penekanan pada teori yang lebih penting, serta mampu mengkondisikan siswa untuk bertanya bagi yang belum mengerti. 3) Aspek Mengelola Kelas dinilai mampu menunjukkan sikap tanggap, memberi perhatian, memberi petunjuk, menegur, memberi penguatan, menganalisis tingkah laku siswa serta mampu memecahkan masalah dalam proses pembelajaran. 4) Aspek Menutup Pelajaran sudah mampu meninjau kembali, seperti merangkum inti pelajaran, membuat ringkasan, kemampuan mengevaluasi baik secara lisan maupun tulisan, serta kemampuan memberi dorongan baik secara psikologi atau sosial kepada siswa seperti pujian, dorongan untuk lebih bersemangat, memberi harapan-harapan positif, meyakinkan potensi yang dimiliki, serta menimbulkan rasa percaya diri.----------The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of students about the basic abilities of teaching teachers in SMK N 9 Garut. This research is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The research subjects in this study were students of class X and XI Competency in Building Modeling and Information Design expertise at Garut N 9 Vocational School as many as 58 students. Methods of data collection using questionnaire techniques. The results showed that the students 'perceptions of the basic ability of teaching teachers were included in the criteria of good, where 1) Aspects of Opening Learning were considered capable of attracting students' attention both in learning styles, media use, variations in interaction patterns, and ability to generate motivation, ability to give reference. 2) Explaining Aspects are considered able to plan the contents of the material with good, easy-to-understand language presentation, giving illustrative examples in accordance with students' understanding, and able to emphasize more important theories, and be able to condition students to ask those who do not understand. 3) Managing Classes is considered capable of showing responsiveness, giving attention, giving guidance, admonishing, giving reinforcement, analyzing student behavior and being able to solve problems in the learning process. 4) Closing Aspects of Learning have been able to review, such as summarizing the core lessons, making summaries, evaluating abilities both orally and in writing, and the ability to give psychology or social encouragement to students such as praise, encouragement to be more enthusiastic, giving positive hopes, ensure the potential that is owned, and cause self-confidence.
