Abstract
Keterlibatan orangtua menjadi salah satu faktor penting yang dapat mensukseskan keberhasilan pendidikan inklusif. Penelitian ini bertujuan merumuskan program pengembangan keterlibatan orangtua sebagai support system keberhasilan pendidikan inklusif. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru berlatar pendidikan PLB, ketua komite sekolah, 3 orangtua siswa reguler dan 3 orangtua siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi digunakan untuk menggali kondisi objektif keterlibatan orangtua dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan keterlibatan orangtua dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusif masih belum optimal. Orangtua belum memahami tentang pendidikan inklusif dan cenderung menunggu program yang ditawarkan sekolah, sementara program yang ditawarkan sekolah belum menyentuh pendidikan inklusif. Untuk merumuskan program ini digunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) yang didaptasi dari Borg and Gall dengan tiga tahapan yaitu: pendahuluan, pengembangan, dan ujicoba program. Program yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini dirumuskan dalam program jangka pendek dan program jangka panjang dalam wadah Parents Support Group (PSG). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dari keterlibatan orangtua dalam penyelenggaran pendidikan inklusif di sekolah ini. Terlihat dari terlaksananya semua program jangka pendek dalam rumusan program yang disusun dalam wadah PSG. Hal ini menunjukkan penggunaan pengembangan program keterlibatan orangtua melalui wadah PSG membawa perubahan kearah yang lebih baik dalam peningkatan keterlibatan orangtua untuk mendukung penyelenggaraan pendidikan inklusif. Parents’ involvement has become one of important things to achieve inclusive program. This research has aimed to find out the relationship between parents involvement as a support system in order to make inclusive program works. The participants on the research are the principal, special need teachers, the head of school committee, three parents of regular students, and three parents of special need students. This research will apply the observation, interviews, and documenter study to find out more on the involvement of parents to hold inclusive education. Data analysis result shows that the parents’ involvement hasn’t reached the optimal level. They haven’t comprehended the roles of inclusive education and tend to receive the program which the school has been offered. Thus, the program hasn’t got any inclusive education. In order to find out the program, Research and Development (R&D) for the project is applied based on Borg and Gall theory. It consists of three phases, those are introduction, development and trial phase. The program has designed into two types, which are the short and the long term program within Parents Support Group (PSG). The research has shown that there is the development of parents’ involvement in inclusive program at this school. It is proven by the accomplishment of the whole short term program in PSG. This shows that the use of the development of parental involvement programs through the PSG platform has brought changes for the better in increasing the parental involvement to support the implementation of inclusive education.
