Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini bermula dari stereotip masyarakat yang menganggap bahwa perempuan tidak sepantasnya menjadi komika karena stand up comedy identik dengan laki-laki. Sebagian besar komika laki-laki seringkali menyampaikan materi lawakannya dengan tutur kata yang kasar sehingga hal tersebut dianggap sangat tidak pantas untuk dilakukan oleh perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tujuan, faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi, dan mendeskripsikan cara komika perempuan menyampaikan kritik sosial melalui stand up comedy. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya yaitu observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pertama, tujuan komika perempuan mengkritik melalui stand up comedy ialah ingin menyampaikan aspirasi perempuan yang merasakan hal yang sama pada suatu fenomena sosial dan memberi sudut pandang berbeda melalui perspektif perempuan. Kedua, faktor yang cenderung mempengaruhi komika perempuan yaitu latar belakang, lingkungan sosial, keresahan, dan pengalaman. Ketiga, cara penyampaian, penyusunan kalimat, dan pemilihan topik oleh komika perempuan berbeda dengan komika laki-laki.; The background of this research is that stereotypical society considers that women should not be comedic because stand up comedy was identically to men. Most male comics often convey their joke material with harsh words so that it is considered very inappropriate for women to do. This study aims to find out the objectives, influencing factors, and describe the ways of female comics can communicate social criticism through stand up comedy. This study uses a qualitative approach and descriptive method. The data collection techniques are observation, interview, documentation study, and triangulation. The results of this study indicate first, the purpose of female comics criticizing through stand up comedy would be to convey the aspirations of women who feel the same in a social phenomenon and give a different perspective through women's perspectives. Second, factors that tend to influence female comics are background, social environment, anxiety, and experience. Third, the method of delivery, sentence preparation, and topic selection by female comics are different from male comics.
