Abstract

Berpikir kreatif sangat penting menjadi perhatian khusus dalam pembelajaran Ekonomi dikarenakan kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada mata pelajaran ilmu-ilmu sains maupun humaniora masih rendah karena belum melibatkan peserta didik secara aktif.Salah satu model pembelajaran yang sesuai untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik yaitu dengan model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Model Project Based Learning memiliki potensi yang besar untuk memberi pengalaman belajar yang lebih menarik dan bermakna bagi peserta didik.Tujuan penelitian ini diantaranya untuk: 1). Mengidentifikasi gambaran kondisi awal pembelajaran ekonomi sebelum diterapkan model Project Based Learning Berbasis Potensi Ekonomi Daerah (PjBL-BPED) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Bandung Barat. 2). Mengembangkan model Project Based Learning Berbasis Potensi Ekonomi Daerah (PjBL-BPED) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Bandung Barat. 3). Mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model Project Based Learning Berbasis Potensi Ekonomi Daerah (PjBL-BPED) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Bandung Barat.Metode yang digunakan oleh peneliti Research and Development (R&D).Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik SMA Jurusan IPS kelas X yang tersebar di Kabupaten Bandung Barat.Penarikan sampel peserta didik dilakukan dengan mengambil 2 satuan pendidikan untuk uji terbatas dan 4 satuan pendidikan untuk uji luas.Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan: 1). Kondisi pembelajaran ekonomi dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif peserta didik di SMA Kabupaten Bandung Barat dikategorikan rendah. 2). Pengembangan model harus jelas sintak sesuai dengan silabus dan RPP sebagai acuan guru mengajar di kelas. Sehingga dimasukan ke dalam tujuan pembelajaran. 3). Efektifitas penerapan model Project Based Learning Berbasis Potensi Ekonomi Daerah (PjBL-BPED) efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan berfikir kreatif di kelas yang mendapatkan model PjBL-BPED dibandingkan dengan kelas yang tidak diberikan model PjBL-BPED; Creative thinking should be given a special attention in Economics teaching and learning because students’ creative thinking ability in sciences and humanities in general is still low. The low ability is caused by the lack of engagement of students in the teaching and learning. One learning model that is suitable for improving students’ creative thinking ability is the Project-based Learning (PjBL) model. PjBL has great potential to provide a more interesting and meaningful learning experience for students. The objectives of this study are to: 1) Identify the economics instruction before the implementation of the Project-based Learning Model based on Regional Economic Potential (PjBL-BREP) to enhance senior high school students’ creative thinking ability in Bandung Barat Regency; 2) Develop PjBL-BREP to improve the senior high school students’ creative thinking ability in West Bandung Regency; and 3) Find the effectiveness of the implementation of the PjBL-BREP in improving the students’ creative thinking ability. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D). The population of this study was tenth grade senior high school students taking the concentration of Social Sciences spread across West Bandung Regency. Samples were drawn by taking 2 (two) education units for the limited test and 4 (four) education units for the broader test. The results of the study show: 1) Before the implementation of the model, economics instruction could not really help improve the students’ creative thinking ability that was categorized as “low”; 2) The syntax of the model developed should be in accordance with the syllabus and lesson plans made as a reference for the teacher in classroom instruction. Hence, the model was included in the learning objectives; and 3) The implementation of the Project-based Learning Model Based on Regional Economic Potential (PjBL-BREP) was effective in enhancing the students’ creative thinking ability as evidenced by a higher increase in the average score of the creative thinking ability of the class taught with the PjBL-BREP model compared to the average score of the control class.
