Abstract
Penelitian ini didasari kepada permasalahan dalam membaca pemahaman literal di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi nyata di dunia pendidikan, khususnya untuk jenjang pendidikan dasar terkait dengan meningkatkan kemmpuan membaca pemahaman literal bagi anak berkesulitan belajar melalui pendekatan pengalaman bahasa. Metode yang digunakan adalah sequential mix method, diawali dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk memperoleh gambaran secara konkrit mengenai kondisi aktual masalah membaca pemahaman literal pada anak berkesulitan belajar sebagai dasar untuk merumuskan intervensi layanan belajar melalui pendekatan pengalaman bahasa. Langkah selanjutnya menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif berupa eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest posttest untuk melihat peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman literal pada anak berkesulitan belajar. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu pendekatan pengalaman bahasa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman literal pada anak berkesulitan belajar secara signifikan. Temuan lain dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukannya masalah spesifik membaca pemahaman literal pada anak berkesulitan belajar sementara pada guru ditemukan keterbataasan terhadap kebutuhan membaca pemahaman literal pada anak berkesulitan belajar. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendekakatan pengalaman bahasa yang diterapkan guru terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman literal secara signifikan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah proses pembelajaran harus mempertimbangkan pendekatan pengalaman bahasa untuk melayani kebutuhan membaca pemahamn literal padan anak berkesulitan belajar dimana pelaksanaannya didasarkan pada kosa kata yang dimiliki anak. This research is based on problems in literal reading comprehension on elementary school. This research was carried out with the aim of making a real contribution to the world of education, especially for elementary education levels related to increasing the ability to read literal comprehension for children with learning difficulties through a language experience approach. The method used is a sequential mix method, beginning with a qualitative approach to obtain a concrete picture of the actual conditions of the problem reading literal understanding of children with learning difficulties as a basis for formulating learning service interventions through a language experience approach. The next step is to use a quantitative approach in the form of an experiment with the design of one group pretest posttest to see an increase in literal comprehension skills in children with learning difficulties. The results obtained, namely the language experience approach can improve literal skills significantly in children with learning difficulties. Another finding from this study was the finding of specific problems literal reading comprehension of children with learning difficulties while teachers found that the reading needs of literal comprehension in children with learning difficulties were found to be limited. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the accuracy of the language experience applied by the teacher proved to be able to significantly improve literacy comprehension skills. The implication of this study is that the learning process must consider the language experience approach to serve the literary reading needs of children with learning difficulties where the implementation is based on the vocabulary of children.
