Abstract
Berdasarkan laporan Asosiasi Disleksia Indonesia, 10 hingga 15 persen anak sekolah di seluruh dunia menyandang disleksia. Dari 50 juta anak sekolah di Indonesia, 5 juta di antaranya mengidap gangguan berkesulitan membaca. Peneliti menemukan disfungsi ini disebabkan oleh kondisi biokimia yang tidak stabil atau akibat bawaan lahir. Subjek penelitian ini adalah seorang anak laki-laki kelas V SD Cidadap 010 yang berusia 11 tahun dan berinisial MF. Subjek lamban membaca serta mengalami kesulitan dalam menulis akibat kesulitan membedakan fonem /b/ dan /d/ serta /o/ dan /e/. Bahkan sebelum dilakukan intervensi hanya dapat membaca beberapa suku kata yang lancar. Untuk membaca tepat dibutuhkan bantuan dari orang lain. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah desain eksperimen subjek tunggal A-B-A. Penggunaan metode fonik dalam penelitian ini berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak berkesulitan membaca. Peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan ini diperoleh di lapangan melalui skor persentase dalam hasil tes membaca permulaan anak berkesulitan membaca. Dalam penerapan permaian scrabble subjek mendapat bantuan dan arahan dalam menyusun kata dari peneliti, setelah permainan selesai dan kata yang tersusun dibaca dan bunyikan bersama peneliti. Temuan dari penelitian ini mean level kemampuan membaca permulaan MF dari setiap sesi adalah 94,22% untuk membaca huruf, 58,05% untuk membaca suku kata, 23,43% untuk membaca kata dan 0% untuk membaca sederhana. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil nilai rata-rata yang anak peroleh pada setiap sesi penelitiannya. Subjek mengalami peningkatan mean level yaitu dari 55,06% pada kondisi baseline-A1 dengan kemampuan membaca permulaan subjek masih rendah, berubah menjadi 89,29% pada kondisi intervensi-B dengan fase intervensi ini kemampuan membaca permulaan subjek mengalami kemajuan dalam membaca huruf, suku kata, serta kata, dan meningkat lagi menjadi 98,36% pada kondisi baseline-A2 dengan kemampuan membaca permulaan subjek lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum diberi intervensi ----- Based on the report of the Indonesian Dyslexia Association, 10 to 15 percent of school children around the world have dyslexia. The research design used in this study was a single subject A-B-A experimental design. The use of phonetic methods in this study has an effect on improving the ability to read early in children having difficulty reading. The increase in the ability to read this beginning was obtained in the field through a percentage score in the results of the test reading the beginning of the child having difficulty reading. In the application of scrabble game the subject gets help and direction in composing words from the researcher, after the game is finished and the arranged word is read and sounds with the researcher. The findings of this study mean the level of MF initial reading ability from each session was 94.22% for reading letters, 58.05% for reading syllables, 23.43% for reading words and 0% for simple reading. This can be seen from the results of the average value that the child gets in each of his research sessions. Subjects experienced an increase in the mean level, from 55.06% in baseline-A1 conditions with the initial reading ability of the subject was still low, changed to 89.29% in the intervention-B condition with this intervention phase the ability to read the subject's initial progress in reading letters, tribes words, and words, and increased again to 98.36% in baseline-A2 conditions with the ability to read the beginning of the subject better than before being given an intervention
