Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menyusun bahan ajar terintegrasi bertema “mengenal bumi” yang mengakomodasi kecerdasan majemuk untuk menanamkan karakter siswa SMP. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi dengan rendahnya tingkat pemahaman siswa SMP terhadap materi IPBA khususnya tema Kebumian serta masukan siswa dan guru dari enam sekolah yang berbeda mengenai pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPBA di kelas. Bahan ajar IPBA terintegrasi dirancang dengan memadukan lima disiplin ilmu yaitu Fisika, Geografi, Matematika, Biologi, dan Agama. Selain itu, dalam bahan ajar disajikan berbagai jenis kegiatan siswa, ilustrasi, video pembelajaran, dan simulasi permainan sehingga menjadikan bahan ajar dapat digunakan sebagai media pengakomodasian kecerdasan majemuk dan penanaman karakter siswa. Pendekatan Design Based Research digunakan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar pada penelitian ini. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi soal tes pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi Kebumian, angket kecerdasan majemuk, angket pelaksanaan pembelajaran IPBA untuk siswa dan guru, angket bahan ajar, angket tingkat kesukaran bahan ajar, soal uji rumpang dan lembar validasi bahan ajar. Hasil validasi bahan ajar yang dilakukan ahli kebumian adalah “Layak” untuk dicetak, diperbanyak, dan digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Hasil uji rumpang bahan ajar kepada 40 orang siswa kelas IX SMP menunjukkan bahan ajar memiliki kriteria keterbacaan “Tinggi” dengan nilai 76,44% dan hasil uji tingkat kesukaran pada siswa yang sama menunjukan kriteria “Mudah”. Data dari hasil penelitian dapat menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar dapat digunakan sebagai media pengakomodasian kecerdasan majemuk dan penanaman karakter siswa SMP. This study aims to develop integrated teaching materials with title "Mengenal Bumi" which accommodates multiple intelligence to instill the character of junior high school students. This study motivated by the low level of understanding of junior high school students on Earth Science and Space (EES) material, especially on Earth science topic and the input of students and teachers from six different schools regarding the implementation of ESS learning in the classroom. Integrated teaching materials are designed by combining five scientific disciplines, namely Physics, Geography, Mathematics, Biology, and Religion. In addition, teaching materials are presented in various types of student activities, illustrations, learning videos, and game simulations so that teaching materials can be used as a medium for accommodating multiple intelligence and nurturing student's characters. The Design Based Research approach was used to develop teaching materials in this study. Instruments used in this research include test questions for students' understanding of the Earth science material, multiple intelligence questionnaires, questionnaires for ESS learning in class for students and teachers, questionnaires about teaching materials, questionnaires on the level of difficulty of teaching materials, test questions and validation of teaching materials. The results of the validation of teaching materials carried out by the geologist are "Eligible" to be printed, reproduced, and used in classroom learning. The results of the overlapping test of teaching materials to 40 junior high school students showed that the teaching material had the criteria of "High" legibility with a value of 76.44% and the results of the difficulty level test on the same students showed the criteria "Easy". Data from research results can show that teaching materials can be used as a medium for accommodating multiple intelligence and planting character of junior high school students.
