    Abstract

    Di dalam kehidupan sehari-hari musik berperan bagi manusia. Bermacam macam manfaat musik dapat dirasakan oleh orang yang berlatar belakang musik maupun yang tidak berlatar belakang musik. Masa kanak-kanak merupakan masa ketika otak dapat berkembang secara signifikan. Pada masa ini, anak cenderung cepat dalam menerima dan merespon sesuatu yang diajarkan. Salah satu aktivitas yang digunakan untuk merangsang kecepatan menerima dan merespon sesuatu tersebut adalah dengan kegiatan bermain musik dengan metodw Orff. Metode Carl Orff merupakan proses eksplorasi musik yang dapat meningkatkan musikalitas siswa untuk menciptakan kegiatan belajar-mengajar yang menyenangkan. Proses eksplorasi musik yang dilakukan terdiri dari eksplorasi bunyi, gerak, dan bentuk. Eksplorasi bunyi diawali dengan bunyi-bunyi di lingkungan sekitar dan bunyi-bunyi yang tidak ‘teratur’ (ember, serok, sendok, bantingan pintu, dll.). Eksplorasi gerak menuntut siswa untuk mengeksplorasi kualitas gerakan: ringan, berat, naik, turun, ke dalam, ke luar, lembut, kasar. Eksplorasi bentuk menuntut siswa untuk menggambarkan apa yang ia dengar kedalam bentuk simbol atau gambar sebagai bentuk pemahaman akan bunyi. Berdasarkan penelitan yang dilakukan oleh penulis mengenai eksplorasi musik untuk meningkatkan musikalitas siswa TK Mujahidin Bandung, eksplorasi musik gaya Orff terbukti dapat maningkatkan musikalitas siswa.

    Everyday in human life, music have a important role. Various kinds of music benefits can be felt by people who have a background in music or who have no background in music. Childhood is a time when the brain can develop significantly. At this time, children tend to be quick to accept and respond to something that is taught. One activity that is used to stimulate the speed of receiving and responding to something is by playing music with the Orff method. The Carl Orff method is a musical exploration process that can enhance the musicality of students to create fun teaching and learning activities. The process of musical exploration is carried out consisting of exploration of sound, motion, and shape. Sound exploration begins with sounds in the environment and non-regular sounds (buckets, scoops, spoons, door slamming, etc.). Motion exploration requires students to explore the quality of movement: light, heavy, up, down, inward, outward, soft, rough. Form exploration requires students to describe what they hear in the form of symbols or images as a form of understanding sound. Based on the research conducted by the author regarding musical exploration to improve the musicality of the students of the Mujahidin Kindergarten in Bandung, the exploration of Orff style music has been proven to improve student musicality.
