Abstract

Permasalahan pembelajaran pada Standar Kompetensi Memperbaiki Compact Cassette Recorder yang mudah jenuh dan bosan sehingga perlu adanya inovasi baru. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan yaitu dengan digunakannya Pendekatan pembelajaran Ekspositori melalui permainan Ice Breaking. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui efektivitas penggunaan pendekatan pembelajaran Ekspositori melalui permainan Ice Breaking dibandingkan dengan menggunakan model konvensional pada kompetensi dasar menjelaskan prinsip kerja Compact Cassette Recorder. Metode penelitiannya menggunakan metode Eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Instrumen untuk pengumpulan data melalui tes pemahaman siswa pada prinsip kerja Compact Cassette Recorder. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pemahaman siswa. Hal tersebut dapat ditunjukkan dengan adanya gain hasil belajar siswa untuk kelas eksperimen lebih besar dibandingkan kelas kontrol, maka pendekatan pembelajaran Ekspositori melalui permainan Ice Breaking dapat dikatakan lebih efektif dibanding menggunakan model konvensional Kata Kunci: Gain, Pemahaman, Pembelajaran Ekspositori, Ice Breaking.
