Abstract

Cibaduyut merupakan kawasan sentra industri sepatu terkenal di kota Bandung. Sentra industri sepatu di Cibaduyut bermula pada tahun 1920 dan berkembang pesat sejak saat itu. Kawasan Cibaduyut memiliki lokalitas yang terjaga diantaranya ialah pengrajin sepatu yang turun-temurun, pembuatan sepatu dengan cara handmade, serta penggunaan koridor jalan Cibaduyut Raya sebagai tempat menjual hasil industri kreatif. Melihat potensi lokalitas tersebut, pemerintah Kota Bandung merencanakan pembuatan kawasan industri sepatu cibaduyut merangkap dengan kawasan wisata. Suatu kawasan wisata harus memiliki tiga hal pokok yaitu, something to see, something to buy, dan something to do. Namun, kawasan Cibaduyut belum memiliki ketiga hal tersebut secara lengkap. Maka dari itu, kawasan Cibaduyut membutuhkan wadah untuk memfasilitasi industri sepatu serta melengkapi hal pokok untuk menjadi kawasan wisata. Shopping center dirancang untuk mewadahi sebagian aktivitas kawasan industri serta sebagai magnet kawasan wisata dengan menerapkan tema lifestyle yang sesuai dengan target pengunjung yaitu generasi milenial. Generasi milenial memiliki lifestyle yang lebih condong ke arah pengalaman, hiburan dan rekreasi hobi (Bakewell dan Mitchel, 2003). Penggunaan pendekatan perilaku sebagai metode perancangan dilakukan sebagai interpretasi dari tema yang diambil, sehubungan dengan tujuan perancangan yaitu mewujudkan bangunan komersil yang dapat menarik pengunjung datang ke kawasan industri sepatu Cibaduyut. Teori pendekatan perilaku yang digunakan antara lain behavioral setting, spatial cognition, dan environment perception (laurens, 2004). Penerapan lifestyle dalam perancangan shopping center terpaku pada permintakatan ruang yang diambil dari interest pengunjung yaitu shop, entertain, dan food&beverages sementara penerapan teori pendekatan perilaku terpaut pada desain peruangan, sirkulasi, dan citra atau tampilan bangunan. Hasil dari penerapan dan interpretasi tema tersebut pada akhirnya memberikan pengaruh pada kebutuhan luas ruang, sirkulasi, interior serta lanskap dalam perancangan bangunan. Cibaduyut is a famous central district of shoes industry in Bandung. Cibaduyut central shoes industry begins in 1920 and continue developing ever since. Cibaduyut has major potential as the locality they keep in their district. The locality that Cibaduyut has is consist of shoes craftsmen from generation to generation, handmade shoes, and the corridor street of Cibaduyut that used for selling craftsmen products. Seeing the potential, government of Bandung City planned to make Cibaduyut turns into both industrial and tourism district. A tourism district had to consist three main things, they are something to see, something to buy and something to do. Cibaduyut district doesn’t have all of the three yet, it needs facilities to cover the needs of shoes industry and complete the main things of tourism district. Hence, the design of shopping center will accommodate some industrial activity also its function to attract people to come to Cibaduyut with the help of millennial lifestyle that suit target visitors. Lifestyle that millennial has mostly direct to experience, entertainment and hobby recreation (Bakewell and Mitchel, 2003). The behavioral approach of design method is used as an interpretation of lifestyle that linear to the purpose of design of this project, which to make a commercial building as a magnet to both industrial and tourism district of Cibaduyut. Behavioral approach theory that used are behavioral setting, spatial cognition, and environment perception. In designing shopping center, lifestyle is used as a spatial zoning, consist of shop, entertainment, and food&beverages. Meanwhile, behavioral approach theory is used to solve design spatial, design circulation, and design façade building.The result of applying behavioral approach and lifestyle affect the calculation of space dimension, zone system, circulations, interior, shape of buildings, and landscape in designing this commercial building.
