Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika melalui kegiatan praktikum saat ini belum melatihkan peserta didik untuk memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi seperti berpikir kritis dan pengambilan keputusan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pengambilan keputusan antara peserta didik yang melaksanakan kegiatan praktikum menggunakan model virtual higher order thinking skills laboratory (virtual HOTS lab) dengan peserta didik yang melakukan kegiatan praktikum model virtual verification laboratory. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu SMA di Bandung Barat pada kelas XI. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes berpikir kritis dan tes pengambilan keputusan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan virtual HOTS lab dapat lebih meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan capaian kemampuan pengambilan keputusan lebih tinggi dibandingkan penerapan model virtual verification lab. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan capaian kemampuan pengambilan keputusan.;---Physics learning through laboratory activities has not get trained students to have high-level thinking skills such as critical thinking skills and decision making skills. This study aims to determine the differences in the improvement of critical thinking skills and decision-making skills between students who carry out laboratory activities using a higher order virtual thinking skills laboratory (virtual HOTS lab) model and performing virtual verification laboratory models. The research was conducted in one of the high schools in West Bandung in class XI. The research method used was quasi-experimental and descriptive. The results showed those students' critical thinking skills carrying out laboratory activities using virtual HOTS lab models increased higher than the virtual verification laboratory model. The biggest critical thinking skills enhancement occurs in the aspect of hypothesis testing. Decision making skills in the experimental class experienced higher achievement than the control class.
