    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMA Sumatra 40. Desain penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode survei melalui angket. Penelitian ini melibatkan 52 siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif teknik pengambilan data menggunakan instrumen berupa angket yang berisi 39 butir pernyataan dengan 4 alternatif jawaban yaitu selalu, sering,jarang dan tidak pernah. Deskriptif atau statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat partisipasi siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler olahraga di SMA Sumatra 40 partisipasi tinggi 78,18%.Kemudian dari faktor kontribusi berkategori tinggi, untuk faktor tanggung jawab sangat tinggi,dan faktor mental dan emosi dengan kategori tinggi. Adapun hasil perbedaan antara partisipasi siswa putra dan siswa putri menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan. Setelah didapatkan hasil dari analisis melalui angket, dilakukan metode observasi kembali demi menemukan perbandingannya. Hasilnya terdapat berbandingan yang signifikan antara hasil analisis melalui angket dengan fakta yang terdapat di lapangan melalui observasi;---This study aims to determine the level of participation of students who joined extracurricular activities in SMA Sumatra 40. This research design is a quantitative descriptive research with survey method through questionnaire. This study involved 52 students. This research is a descriptive quantitative research using data collection technique in the form of a questionnaire containing 39 items of statement with 4 alternative answers that is always, often, rarely and never. Descriptive or descriptive statistics. The results showed that the participation rate of students who participated in sports extracurricular activities in SMA Sumatra 40 high category of participation 78,18%. Then from contributory factors was categorized high, very high category for responsibility factor, and mental and emotional factors with high category. As for the results of the difference between the participation of male and female students, the results was significant. After the results obtained from the analysis through questionnaires, re-observation method to find the comparison. The result is a significant comparison between the results of the analysis through a questionnaire with the facts contained in the field through observation.
