Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta di lapangan yang menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar teks deskripsi yang digunakan oleh guru saat ini terbatas. Kurangnya bahan ajar tersebut mengakibatkan guru dan siswa belum terlalu memahami konsep teks deskripsi. Tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu (1) mendeskripsikan fungsi teks deskripsi hasil karya siswa kelas VII di SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung; (2) mendeskripsikan struktur teks deskripsi hasil karya siswa kelas VII di SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung; (3) mendeskripsikan kaidah kebahasaan teks deskripsi hasil karya siswa kelas VII di SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung; (4) mengembangkan bahan ajar teks deskripsi berdasarkan hasil karya siswa kelas VII di SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini, yaitu teks deskripsi yang ditulis oleh siswa kelas VII SMP Pasundan 2 Bandung. Data penelitian ini berupa hasil analisis fungsi, struktur, dan kaidah kebahasaan teks deskripsi. Data lain yang mendukung penelitian ini adalah hasil wawancara dan hasil penyebaran angket siswa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, fungsi yang ditemukan dalam teks deskripsi karya siswa, yaitu fungsi memberikan kesan bagi pembaca; kedua, struktur yang ditemukan dalam teks deskripsi karya siswa kelas, yaitu identifikasi, deskripsi bagian, dan simpulan; ketiga, kaidah kebahasaan di dalam teks deskripsi karya siswa ditandai dengan adanya penggunaan kata ganti persona, kata kopula, kata kerja material, dan kata sifat; keempat, pengembangan bahan ajar teks deskripsi menghasilkan sebuah produk berupa handout teks deskripsi bahasa Indonesia yang di dalamnya memuat materi pembelajaran, meliputi pembangunan konteks, pemodelan teks, konsep, prinsip, dan prosedur penulisan teks deskripsi. ;--- This research is motivated by the facts in the field indicating that the description text material used by teachers is still limited. The lack of availability of teaching materials has resulted ini teachers and students not really understanding the concept of description text. The purpose of this study is (1) describe the function of the text of the work of the 7th grade in Junior High School Pasundan 2 Bandung; (2) describe the structure of the text of the work of the 7th grade in Junior High School Pasundan 2 Bandung; (3) describe the linguistic rules of the work of the work of the text of the 7th grade in Junior High School Pasundan 2 Bandung; (4) developed a description text material based on the results of the text description study of the work of the 7th grade in Junior High School Pasundan 2 Bandung. Research method used is descriptive qualitative. The source of this research data is the description text written by the 7th grade Junior High School Pasundan 2 Bandung. This research data is data result of function analysis, structure, and linguistic rules of description text. Other data supporting this research are interview result and questionnaire dispatch result. The results of this study are as follows. First, the function found in the description text of students’s work, namely functions for giving the impression to the reader; second, the structure found in the description text of the text of students’s work, namely identification, section description, and conclusion; third, the linguistic rules found in the description text of students’s work, is marked by the use of pronouns persona pronoun, copula word, material verb, and adjective; fourth, the development of learning materials to produce a product description text in the form of handouts description text language of Indonesia in which contain material of learning, including developmental context, modeling text, concepts, principles, and procedures of writing description text.
