Abstract

Literasi matematis adalah kemampuan minimal yang seharusnya dimiliki siswa saat ini. Kemampuan tersebut lebih ditekankan kepada kemampuan siswa untuk dapat menggunakan pengetahuan matematis dalam kehidupan sehari-hari di dunia nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang mendapatkan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe think pair and share (TPS) dan implementasi model kooperatif tipe TPS selama proses pembelajaran terjadi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian merupakan metode kombinasi model concurrent embedded dengan data kuantitatif sebagai sumber primer dan data kualitatif sebagai sumber sekunder. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa yang belajar dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe TPS berbasis masalah kontekstual lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Selain itu, proses implementasi model kooperatif tipe TPS juga sudah berjalan cukup baik. Mathematical literacy is the minimum ability students should have at this time. This ability is more emphasized to the ability of students to be able to use mathematical knowledge in daily life. This research aims to determine the increase in mathematical literacy skills of students who get mathematics learning by using a cooperative model of the type of think pair and share (TPS) and the implementation of the cooperative type TPS type during the learning process occurs. The method used in this research is a combination of concurrent embedded models with quantitative data as the primary source and qualitative data as secondary. The results showed that increasing the mathematical literacy ability of students who learned by using a cooperative type TPS conceptualized contextual problem was higher than students who used a scientific approach. In addition, the process of implementing a cooperative type TPS model has also been running quite well.
