Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS dan siswa SMP yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model discovery learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP Negeri di Kabupaten Bandung, semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2019/2020. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih sebanyak dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah nonprobability sampling yaitu dengan purposive sampling. Data yang diperoleh merupakan hasil dari ¬pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran TSTS dan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model discovery learning. "Application of the Two Stay - Two Stray (TSTS) Cooperative Learning Model to Improve Mathematical Communication Skills of Junior High School Students” Nurafni (1507064). Mathematics Education. This study aims to determine the improvement of mathematical communication skills of junior high school students who obtain learning by using the TSTS cooperative learning model and junior high scholl students who obtain learning by using discovery learning models. This study uses a quasi-experimental research design with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study is one of the eighth grade students of junior high school in Bandung Regency, in the odd semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. The samples in this study are selected as many as two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The sampling technique in this research is nonprobability sampling namely by purposive sampling. The data obtained is the result of the pretest and posttest. The results showed that there are differences in the improvement of mathematical communication skills between students who obtained learning using the TSTS learning model and students who obtained learning using discovery learing models.
