    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya mengembangkan keterampilan kerjasama siswa sebagai bagian dari pendidikan karakter. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan diantaranya melalui pengembangan metode inkuiri yang dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran IPS di kelas VII H SMP Negeri 7 Bandung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan metode inkuiri dalam pengembangan keterampilan kerjasama siswa pada pembelajaran IPS. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan kualitatif, metode deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa pedoman observasi dan wawancara. Hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu; alasan guru menggunakan metode inkuiri yaitu sebagai inovasi pembelajaran yang menarik minat siswa dan membuka komunikasi antar siswa dalam bekerjasama; Langkah-langkah metode inkuiri dilaksanakan melalui pembagian kelompok, mengamati dan mengumpulkan informasi, perumusan hasil diskusi dan membuat hasil diskusi dalam bentuk mind map, hal tersebut sebagaimana langkah-langkah metode inkuiri yang dijelaskan oleh Roestiyah (2008, hlm.75); Hambatan yang dihadapi dalam penerapan metode inkuiri adalah alokasi waktu yang kurang memadai sehingga kegiatan pembelajaran belum dilaksanakan dengan optimal. Secara keseluruhan hasil penelitian menunjukkan guru mampu melaksanakan metode inkuri dengan sangat baik dalam mengembangkan keterampilan kerjasama siswa kelas VII H SMP Negeri 7 Bandung pada saat pembelajaran IPS.;---The research was distributed by the importance of developing the skills of the student's cooperation as part of character education. One of the efforts made among them through the development of a inquiry method implemented in the Social Studies lLarning in class VII H Junior High School 7 Bandung. This research aims to study how the application of inquiry method in development of cooperation skills of students in the learning of social studies learning. The approach is used is qualitative, descriptive methods of approach to techniques of data collection in the form of guidelines for observation and interview. The results obtained in this study are: the reason teachers using the method inkuiri as innovation learning that interest students and open communication between students in cooperation; Inquiry method measures implemented through the Division of groups, observe and gather information, the formulation of the results of the discussion and make the results of the discussion in the form of a mind map, such as the inkuiri method steps described by Roestiyah (2008, p. 75); The obstacles encountered in the implementation of the inquiry method is a less adequate time allocation so that learning activities have not been implemented optimally. Overall the results showed teachers are able to implement the inquiry method with very good skills in developing cooperation of students grade VII H Junior High School 7 Bandung in Social Studies Learning.
