Abstract

Penggunaan smartphone sebagi media pembelajaran merupakan salah satu pendekatan yang disebut dengan mobile learning. Fitur-fitur yang terdapat pada smartphone dapat membantu pembelajaran melalui penyampaian yang menarik dan materi pelajaran yang mudah untuk diakses. Mobile learning berbasis google apps for education dapat dimanfaatkan pendidik menjadi media pembelajaran dan sumber belajar yang menarik, serta mudah diakses kapan saja di mana saja. Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pengaruh mobile learning berbasis google apps for education sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Sedangkan secara khusus bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh mobile learning berbasis google apps for education sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar aspek visual, aspek oral, aspek motor, dan aspek emotional peserta didik, serta memberikan penjelasan lebih lanjut mengenai perbedaan peserta didik yang menggunakan mobile learning berbasis google apps for education dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan slideshow power point pada mata pelajaran Biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian eksperimen nonequivalent control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis penelitian umum melalui uji independent sample t-test. Secara umum disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan mobile learning berpengaruh dalam meningkatan aktivitas belajar peserta didik, dan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan peserta didik yang menggunakan media slideshow power point pada mata pelajaran Biologi Kelas XI MIPA di SMA Negeri 8 Garut. ;---The usage of smartphones as a tool in order to get knowledge is called mobile learning. the features on a smartphone can help the process of learning by providing people so many resources and easily to access it. mobile learning based on google apps for education based can be used by educators to be an interesting learning media and learning resources, and easily accessible anytime anywhere. this study generally aims to describe and analyze the effect of mobile learning based on google apps for education as learning media to increase the learning activities of students. while specifically aimed at describing the effect of mobile learning based on google apps for education as learning media to increase learning activities on visual aspects, oral aspects, motor aspects, and emotional aspects of students, as well as providing further explanation about the differences in students using mobile learning based on google apps for education with students who use power point slideshow as learning media in Biology subjects. this study uses a quasy-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design experimental research design. data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires. based on the results of the general research hypothesis testing through an independent sample t-test. in general, it was concluded that the use of mobile learning based on google apps for education had an effect on increasing the learning activities of students, and was higher than the students who use the power point slideshow as learning media in the Biology subject for Class XI MIPA at SMA Negeri 8 Garut.
