Abstract

ABSTRACT
Industrial practice is a learning activity in the industry that must be taken by PTAg students. The experience gained during industry practice helps PTAg graduates to form and develop hard skills and soft skills, resulting an improved work performance. Research is needed to determine whether the ability of hard skills and soft skills resulted from industrial practices have a positive and significant effect on the work performance of PTAg graduates in the industries where they work. This study aims to determine the effect of the ability of hard skills, soft skills, unity of hard skills and soft skills resulted from industry practices on the work performance of PTAg graduates in the industry. The sample be used was PTAg graduates from the 2008-2014 generation who had and were working in the industry as many as 44 people. This study includes descriptive research with a quantitative approach that examines the effect of the relationship of independent variables that’s hard skill ability (X1) and that’s soft skill ability (X2) to dependent variables taht’s job performance. The results showed perception that the ability of hard skills from the results of industrial practice to the work performance of PTAg graduates in the industry is in the high category, with positive effect is expressed by a regression equation of Y = 1,937 + 0,532X1, a correlation coefficient of 0.763 and a contribution of 58.2%. The ability of soft skills is in the very high category, with with positive effect is expressed by a regression equation of Y = 0,652 + 0,815X2,a correlation coefficient of 0.877 and a contribution of 77.0%. The ability of hard skills and soft skills are in the very high category, with positive effect is expressed by a regression equation of Y = 0,713 + 0,112X1 + 0,649X2 , a correlation coefficient of 0.882 and a contribution of 76.8%
