Abstract

Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh kecenderungan siswa yang tidak belajar lebih giat karena sudah merasa puas dengan apa yang didapatkan. Siswa berpandangan bahwa dirinya telah mencapai nilai rata-rata dan masih ada siswa lain yang mendapatkan nilai lebih rendah, sehingga merasa cukup atas belajar yang sudah dilakukan. Selain itu, siswa memiliki anggapan bahwa tidak mungkin untuk mencapai prestasi yang lebih baik karena sudah ada siswa lain yang mencapai prestasi tersebut. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat adversity intelligence dalam belajar siswa dan merumuskan program bimbingan belajar untuk meningkatkan adversity intelligence dalam belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan adalah sampel jenuh, yaitu seluruh adversity intelligence dalam belajar siswa kelas VIII SMPN 9 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018-2019 yang berjumlah 304 siswa. Pengumpulan data adversity intelligence dalam belajar siswa dilakukan menggunakan instrumen dengan empat pilihan jawaban. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat adversity intelligence dalam belajar siswa memiliki kecenderungan pada tingkat campers. Siswa campers adalah siswa yang melakukan usaha untuk menghadapi kesulitan dalam belajar tetapi mudah puas atas apa yang telah dicapainya. Siswa berdalih telah cukup berusaha dan memperoleh hasil, padahal sebenarnya masih dapat memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik. Program bimbingan belajar yang di rancang mencakup dimensi adversity intelligence dalam belajar siswa yakni dimensi control, origin dan ownership, reach, dan enduranch yang didalamnya mencakup tujuh belas indikator. Program bimbingan belajar yang dirancang difokuskan untuk meningkatkan adversity intelligence dalam belajar siswa, meskipun demikian dirancang pula layanan untuk siswa climbers sebagai upaya pemeliharaan dan pengembangan. Berdasarkan program bimbingan belajar yang telah dirancang, dihasilkan program bimbingan belajar yang layak menurut pakar dan praktisi bimbingan dan konseling untuk meningkatkan adversity intelligence dalam belajar siswa;---The background to the research is students’ tendency to not study more zealously because they are already satisfied with what they have obtained. Students see that they have achieved the average score and there are still other students who get lower scores than they do; hence, they feel quite satisfied with their learning. In addition, students assume that it is impossible to achieve better because there are already students who achieve in their class. The research aims to describe the level of adversity intelligence in student learning. It employed quantitative approach with descriptive method. The stratified sample consisted of adversity intelligence in the learning of all, or 304, eight grade students of SMPN 9 Bandung academic year 2018-2019. Data on adversity intelligence in student learning were collected using an instrument with four answer choices. The results show that based on the level of adversity intelligence in student learning, the students had the tendency to be categorized as “campers”. Campers are those who make efforts to deal with learning difficulties, but they get satisfied easily with what they have gained. They make an excuse that they have done their best and gained results, while actually they could have obtained better outcomes. The learning guidance designed includes the dimensions of adversity intelligence in student learning, namely control, origin and ownership, reach, and endurance that include 17 sub-indicators. The designed learning guidance program is focused on improving adversity intelligence in student learning; nevertheless, a service was also designed for climbers as part of maintenance and development. Based on the research results, a learning guidance program was produced that was assessed to be appropriate by experts and practitioners of guidance and counselling to improve adversity intelligence in student learning.
