Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang kerja sama guru dan orang tua dalam mendidik karakter siswa di sekolah dasar yang meliputi perencanaan, proses dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi kurangnya kerja sama guru dan orang tua dalam mendidik karakter siswa. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Instrument utama adalah peneliti menggunakan alat bantu berupa pedoman wawancara, pedoman observasi dan dokumentasi. Peneliti menganalisis data dengan cara yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Kerja sama guru dan orang tua dalam perencanaan mendidik karakter siswa ini meliputi visi dan misi sekolah dan membentuk kerja sama guru dan orang tua siswa yang meliputi: pertemuan guru dan orang tua siswa, guru berperan dalam mendidik karakter siswa di sekolah serta orang tua berperan dalam mendidik karakter anak di rumah; 2) Kerja sama guru dan orang tua dalam proses mendidik karakter siswa dilaksanakan dengan cara guru mengintegrasikan nilai karakter pada proses pembelajaran ketika di sekolah dan orang tua mengintegrasikan nilai karakter ketika di rumah; dan 3) Kerja sama guru dan orang tua dalam evaluasi mendidik karakter siswa dilakukan melalui teknik non tes. Teknik non tes dilakukan dilakukan berupa observasi dan pengamatan dari guru dan orang tua melalui buku komunikasi.---------This study aims to describe the cooperation of teachers and parents in educating the character of students in elementary schools which includes planning, process and evaluation. This research is motivated by the lack of cooperation between teachers and parents in educating students' characters. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The main instrument is the researcher using tools such as interview guidelines, observation guidelines and documentation. The researcher analyzes the data by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The findings of this study indicate that 1) The cooperation of teachers and parents in planning to educate students' characters includes the vision and mission of the school and forming the cooperation of teachers and parents of students which include: meeting teachers and parents of students, the teacher plays a role in educating the character of students in schools and parents play a role in educating the character of children at home; 2) The cooperation of teachers and parents in the process of educating students' character is carried out by the way the teacher integrates character values in the learning process when at school and parents integrate character values when at home; and 3) The cooperation of teachers and parents in evaluating the character of students is done through non-test techniques. Non-test technique is carried out in the form of observation and observation of teachers and parents through communication books.
