Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh isu rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi yang terlihat masih banyaknya siswa mendapatkan nilai belum mencapai KKM sebesar 72,68%, dari Penilaian Akhir Semester (PAS) ganjil tahun ajaran 2019/2020 pada siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri Wilayah Kota Sumedang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana efek mediasi pararel motivasi belajar dan self-confidence pada pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap hasil belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran ekonomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah survey eksplanatori dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Objek penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar, motivasi belajar, self-confidence, dan kompetensi guru. Sedangkan subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri Wilayah Kota Sumedang dengan sampel sebanyak 241 siswa. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis regresi linear berganda dengan mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Gambaran umum hasil belajar berada pada kategori rendah, motivasi belajar berada pada kategori sedang, self-confidence berada pada kategori sedang dan kompetensi guru berada pada kategori sedang. (2) Kompetensi guru berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa. (3) Motivasi belajar memediasi pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi. (4) Self-confidence memediasi pengaruh kompetensi guru terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi.----------This research is motivated by the issue of low student learning outcomes in economic subjects that still appear to be many students have not achieved the KKM score of 72.68%, from the Odd End Semester Assessment (PAS) of the 2019/2020 school year in class XI IPS students in high school The State of Sumedang City Region. This study aims to determine how the parallel mediating effect of learning motivation and self-confidence on the effect of teacher competence on student learning outcomes in economic subjects. The research method used was an explanatory survey using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The object of this research is learning outcomes, learning motivation, self-confidence, and teacher competence. While the subjects of this study were students of class XI IPS of SMA Negeri Sumedang City Region with a sample of 241 students. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with mediation. The results showed that: (1) General description of learning outcomes are in the low category, learning motivation is in the medium category, self-confidence is in the medium category and teacher competency is in the medium category. (2) Teacher competence influences student learning outcomes. (3) Learning motivation mediates the effect of teacher competence on student learning outcomes in economic subjects. (4) Self-confidence mediates the effect of teacher competence on student learning outcomes in economic subjects.
