Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang jenis-jenis
kesalahan yang dialami oleh siswa beserta dengan
faktor penyebabnya dalam menyelesaikan soal
limit fungsi aljabar di salah satu SMA kota Cimahi.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menelusuri
jenis-jenis kesalahan dan faktor penyebab dalam
penyelesaian soal limit fungsi aljabar. Jenis- jenis
kesalahan tersebut dapat dilihat berdasarkan
kriteria kesalahan Watson dan faktor penyebabnya
dilihat berdasarkan Segitiga Didaktis. Penelitian ini
menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan
pendekatan studi kasus yang melibatkan siswa
kelas XII SMA, dan seorang guru matematika.
Pengumpulan data dilakukan secara triangulasi
dengan menggunakan instrumen tes, wawancara,
dan analis dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan
secara deskriptif yang secara umum dengan
mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik
kesimpulan. Berdasarkan analisis temuan dan
pembahasan dalam penelitian ini, terungkap
bahwa siswa mengalami kesalahan dalam
menyelesaikan soal limit fungsi aljabar yaitu
innappropriate data (id), inappropriate procedure
(ip), ommited data (od), omitted conclusion (oc),
response level conflict (rlc), undirected
manipulation (um), skills hierarchy problem (shp),
above other (ao). Jenis kesalahan yang sering
muncul adalah kesalahan pada tipe kesimpulan
hilang (oc), konflik level respon (rlc), manipulasi
tidak langsung (um), dan masalah hirarki
keterampilan (shp). Sedangkan untuk semua
komponen-komponen dalam Segitiga Didaktis
menjadi faktor penyebab siswa melakukan
kesalahan dalam menyelesaikan operasi hitung
aljabar yaitu Hubungan Didaktis (HD), Hubungan
Pedagogis (HP), dan Antisipasi Didaktis dan
Pedagogis (ADP).----------This research identifies the types and causes of students error in limit of algebraic function
problem in a Senior High School in Cimahi. The
aim of this research is to identify the types and
causes of error in solving limit of algebraic function
problem. The types of error could be identified by
following Watson criteria for error, and the causes
could be identified by using Didactic Triangle. The
method used in this research was qualitative and
case study approach involving 12th grade
students and a math teacher. The data was
collected by using triangulation with test,
interview, and document analysis. Data analysis
was done descriptively by reducing the data,
presenting the data, and drawing conclusions.
Based on the result and discussion on this
research, the student error was in innappropriate
data (id), inappropriate procedure (ip), ommited
data (od), omitted conclusion (oc), response level
conflict (rlc), undirected manipulation (um), skills
hierarchy problem (shp), above other (ao). The
most errors were error in omitted conclusion (oc),
response level conflict (rlc), undirected
manipulation (um), skills hierarchy problem (shp).
Whereas it was found that all of components of
Didactic Triangle were the causes of students error
in solving algebraic equations: Didactic Relation
(DR), Pedagogical Relation (PR), and Didactic and
Pedagogical Anticipation (DPA).
