Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengerahui hubungan kecerdasan emosional (EQ) dengan keterampilan dasar bermain sepakbola. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain korelasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP Negeri Unggulan Sindang Indramayu yang tergabung dalam ekstrakurikuler sepakbola. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 30 orang diambil dengan tehnik pengambilan sampling menggukan total sampling. Instrument yang digunakan adalah kuesioner untuk mengetahui tingkat kecerdasan emosional dan tes keterampilan dasar sepakbola yang terdiri dari keterampilan passing and stopping, heading, dribbling, dan shooting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kecerdasan emosional (EQ) dengan keterampilan dasar bermain sepakbola. Diharapkan untuk penelitian selanjutnya mengenai tema yang sama dengan penelitian ini dapat mengambil sampel yang lebih banyak. Bagi peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengembangkan variable yang lebih luas bukan hanya menggunakan metode korelasi saja. Menggunakan sampel di level lebih tinggi, seperti seperti pada ukm sepakbola universitas, tim sepakbola nasional agar penelitian ini dapat berkembang dan lebih baik lagi. Diharapkan untuk peneliti selanjutnya memiliki sumber-sumber referensi tentang penelitian yang terbaru baik dalam negeri maupun luar negeri dan dengan menggunakan alat yang lebih terukur. Kata kunci : Kecerdasan Emosional, Keterampilan Dasar, Sepakbola The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship of emotional intelligence (eq) and the basic skills of playing football. The research method used quantitative descriptive with correlation design. The population in this study were students of Unggulan Sindang Indramayu Junior High School who joined football extracurricular activities. The research sample amounted to 30 people taken by total sampling techniques. The instrument used a questionnaire to determine the level of emotional intelligence and tests of basic football skills consisting of passing and stopping skills, heading, dribbling, and shooting. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between emotional intelligence and basic skills in football. It is expected that further research on the same theme with this research can take more samples. For the next researcher, it is expected to be able to develop broader variables rather than just using the correlation method. Using samples at a higher level, such as in university soccer SMEs, or national football teams. So that, this research can develop and improve. It is hoped that the next researcher will have reference sources about the latest research both domestically and abroad and by using more measurable tools.
