Abstract
Fashion design is one of the subjects that must be studied by vocational high school (SMK) students in the field of fashion expertise that are taught in class XI (eleven) at SMK 3 Cimahi. The area of expertise in fashion that studies party fashion design with various kinds of finishing and coloring techniques is the most used solution by students. One of the objectives of this research is to obtain analytical data on the appearance of a party fashion design in terms of design elements, dry coloring techniques in the form of shading techniques and the coloring aspects of dry techniques in designing party fashions in accordance with the assessment criteria. The sample in this study was a picture of a party fashion design by coloring dry techniques created by 23 Cimahi 3 SMKN fashion design students. The research method used is descriptive analytic method with data collection in the form of party fashion design drawings and rating scales. The analysis findings show that the majority of students are able to use the coloring technique dry on a party fashion design very well according to the criteria on the rating scale but there are still students who have not been able to use the coloring technique dry well. Thus, the findings of the analysis of the appearance of the party fashion design with the coloring technique shows that students are very good at realizing the party fashion design by coloring the dry technique in the subjects of fashion design but should be given more learning to students who have not been able to do and apply the technique coloring dry well.
