Abstract

PENERAPAN MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING BERBASIS SOFT SKILLS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS SISWA (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Pada Pembelajaran PKn di kelas X IPS 2 SMAN 21 Garut) Suci Alawiyah 1505634 Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aspek Soft Skills khususnya kreativitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran PKn dengan menerapkan model Discovery Learning. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil observasi di lapangan yang menunjukkan data bahwa kreativitas peserta didik pada mata pelajaran PKn masih rendah. Contohnya seperti beberapa peserta didik kurang mendengarkan penjelasan guru saat guru sedang menjelaskan materi, beberapa peserta didik masih takut untuk menunjukkan keterampilannya dalam mengemukakan pendapat serta peserta didik kurang merespon pembelajaran. Berdasarkan pengamatan tersebut diperlukan adanya upaya pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan agar dapat meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik Mengingat proses pembelajaran yang terjadi di sekolah saat ini lebih menekankan kepada Hard Skills dan kurang menekankan kepada Soft Skills. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mix methods atau penelitian campuran antara kualitatif dan kuantitatif, dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 21 Garut dengan subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik di kelas X IPS 2. Adapun tahapan dalam penelitian ini meliputi tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, peneliti memperoleh suatu simpulan bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning berbasis Soft Skills ini mampu meningkatkan kreativitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran PKn. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan yang cukup signifikan pada perkembangan kreativitas peserta didik di setiap siklusnya. Kata Kunci: Model Discovery Learning, Soft Skills, Kreativitas APPLYING THE MODEL OF DISCOVERY LEARNING BASED ON SOFT SKILLS TO IMPROVE STUDENT CREATIVITY (Classroom Action Research On Civics Lesson in The Class X Social Sciences 2 SMAN 21 Garut) Suci Alawiyah 1505634 This study aims to develop a particular aspect of Soft Skills creativity of learners in learning civics by applying the model of Discovery Learning. This is motivated by the results of observations in the field that show data that the creativity of students in Civics subjects is still low. Examples such as the few learners less listened to the teacher when the teacher is explaining the material, some learners still afraid to show his skills in expressing opinions and students do not respond to learning. Based on these observations it is necessary to apply learning that is more interesting and enjoyable in order to be able to increase the creativity of students. Given the learning process that occurs in schools at this time more emphasis on Hard Skills and less emphasis on Soft Skills. This study uses mixed methods research approaches or a mix of qualitative and quantitative, with classroom action research methods. This research was conducted at SMAN 21 Garut with the subject of research is learners in the class X Social Sciences 2. The stages in this study includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Based on the research that has been done, the researchers obtained a conclusion that the applying the model of discovery learning based on soft skills is able to enhance the creativity of learners in learning civics. This is evidenced by the significant increase in development of the creativity of learners in each cycle. Keywords: The Model of Discovery Learning, Soft Skills, Creativity
